Summer Bahamas Trip

not sure Milan or Omaha start to begin season. no need for it and TJ isn't handing them the job. will be shocking to some on here.

Gilbert and Jones seem like our best scorers at this point, which we already knew the 2 most established D1 scorers. takes a lot of pressure off Lipsey to score which is huge for us.

also think our defense will be even better this year. higher scoring games cause we'll push pace a lot more but i expect we force a ton of turnovers and hold teams to bad FG %. the versatility, athleticism, and depth on this team is something we haven't seen in a long time.

fun year ahead. maybe historic.

You don't think Omaha will start?

Seems pretty straightforward that we've got 10 guys who'll be vying for minutes in the rotation, w/ Fish & Hamilton getting garbage minutes in their first year. TJ is going to have some roster/man management to do, because it is hard for me to envision how that rotation gets trimmed down, but he's the man when it comes to that. We're going to have some serious depth though, hype train will be out of control.

he hasn't these 2 Bahamas games and he was away from program most of summer with Team USA stuff. i'm sure TJ is making him "earn it". but no i wouldn't say it's 100% guarantee he starts game 1 of the season.
I don't think I'd read too much into these starting lineups, but I do agree that Omaha will not be given a spot because of his high school ranking.

with 10 guys who can ball you just find best balance and rotations. if means Omaha and Milan both come off bench, so be it. i don't think this team has egos. they have Final 4 capability and TJ will have everyone bought in to that.

Big Rob and Watson are most likely candidates for reduced mins as season progresses.

I disagree on Watson. He'll be good for us this year.

Practices in the leadup to the season will be absolute wars. There is so much depth on this team everyone single guy is going to have to battle their *** off for time.

i agree that Watson will be hard to keep off floor, but if get down to 8 man rotation by tourney time which is usually the rotation coaches prefer when it matters the most....i think it's Big Rob and Watson that draw the short straw.

Rob will play. We just don't have the front court depth for him not to.

The reality is there's an absolute log jam at the 2/3. I think TJ will get creative with some small-ball options, but we have a ton of wings.

wouldn't say we have a ton of wings. Jones and Gilbert are guards. true "wings" are really only Omaha Milan Watson.
