Can you guys give me a ******* break?? Holy ****. I had to attend a concert for Music 102 otherwise I was going to get a failing grade for my midterm for that class, so I went to Jazz at the music hall and posted on CF from my phone while getting updates from my dad on the game. Then came back to my dorm at halftime and typed a paper with the game on half of my screen and Word on the other. It was more work than I would have got done had I been standing up in Cyclone Alley watching a team we should beat 49/50 times. So please quit using me as example as a "bad" student. I love Cyclone hoops. You guys that go to every game no matter what the situation in regards to your education are just fine with what you do; I just have slightly different priorities... But saying that I am the reason students didn't show last night is absolutely absurd, so please stop.
You mean you weren't paying attention to the musical stuff either? So your a bad fan and a bad student.... tisk tisk... :smile:
i realize this is from the front page but im just now reading this. i realize its a big game since we will have to fight to win any of the next 3 but it was against the worst team in the big 12. yes we are relevant this year but its still a crappy team that no one cares about

***And agree with Al student section was by far the emptiest part of Hilton last night (only open seats around). I could be off but Im thinking it's not exactly exam time for most students. Weather was nice too... no reason to not make it to Hilton

Don't forget twister towels.Maybe we should give away pizza, ice cream, bobble heads, and free tickets. Then we'd be rocking every night like Mediacom Court! Would that appease the grey hairs?
1) Midterm grades mean nothing other than to inform the student where he or she stands halfway through the semester.
2) Stuart is giving students with no concert attendances by midterm a C-, not a failing grade (unless you're failing the exams and not showing up to class.)
I haven't attended any concerts yet this semester, and I'm not worried about it.
I would like to see all of the "haters" of ISU students aka future alumni give a little respect to the students. I know the importance of having a good home fan base, but come on people you do not need to be bashing FELLOW CYCLONES!! If you are one of the people doing the bashing you better be able to back it up. If you are at the game I hope you are yelling loud and not sitting on your *** because if students see older fans and alumni getting excited they will be more excited too! Don't bash the students everyone was one at one time in their life!
The students kick *** for football. Seriously. We have a great student section at Jack Trice. I sit catty-wompus from it, and its always going bat **** crazy.
Its not a "kids these days" thing. It's a "why do you buy tickets you don't use for basketball?" thing.
Current students: Please don't take this personally.
A lot of us "old timers" who were in school when CA was foisted upon us are still bitter about it. Mostly because when it started, it was run by opportunistic, fun-hating resume-padding douchebags, and we were forced into it when we would have rather been our usual ball of drunken rowdy obscene Cyclone support.
The mere mention of the name "Charles Fisher" is enough to send some of us over the edge.
A lot of us "old timers" who were in school when CA was foisted upon us are still bitter about it.
