STEELE!!!

The qbs looked a little rough but all the d had to do was get a hand on them and the play was blown dead. Lots of flinching on the o line that didn't get called but chalk it up to trying to win a position.

Yeah, nothing is more meaningless that the spring game. Fun for fans, but totally meaningless.

You can't read too much into offensive spring game performances, IMO. The D is usually ahead of the offense at this point. Obviously you don't want to see your QB's make mistakes, but it shouldn't surprise us that the D knows how to read our QB's and such.

After the spring last year Jantz was annointed as next to god by many around here, we saw how that translated to the season. Based on numbers neither guy did anything to seperate himself, I really wish one had an advantage over the other but I'm afraid this battle will go on well in to next season. Whichever guy starts against Tulsa will have people on this board foaming at the mouth for one sign of struggle.

I'm going to go ahead and not count Richardson out of this thing. I don't think he will win the job but I don't think it's time to count him out.

I think we can already start the QB controversy threads for 2013, just sub Sam for Steele and Rohach as the darkhorse!

Either we have 3 pretty average QBs.. or Everyone had an off day..... or the WR group really isn't that impressive (especially minus Gary and Horne)

Probably somewhat of all 3.

I really do think Steele starts. When he is on, he really throws a nice football.

One more year of Steele then three of Sam with a veteran backup in JB for both. We are set at QB.

Sam Richardson hasn't played a snap of college football and Jared Barnett led ISU to arguably their biggest win in school history yet you're automatically putting Richardson ahead of JB next year. Wow. :spinny: :v_SPIN: :skeptical: :realmad: :realmad:

Yes, and I would also take Andrew Luck over Trent Dilfer and his SB ring on my team any day.

Who did that? He was anointed after he tore up Iowa. As for mechanics and overall qb, Im with Clones85, clearly Richardson is the best pure qb on the team but lacks experience. But coaches say his qb IQ is unlike any they have seen and can read defenses beyond his years. If he can get some experience, the sky is the limit with that kid.
