Yup, but I think “meh” is what Jamie wants. Why overshadow what could be a breakthrough year in football with a splashy MBB hire? Get someone credible that you (JP) like to work with and give them a shot. Marshal your resources and put them towards FB. Whoever JP hires is most likely going to do better that just 2 wins and none in the Big XII. I don’t love it, but I understand the line of reasoning.

I think Matta makes sense all the way around.

I'd like Matta too as long as he is healthy. Had a bad back surgery I believe that caused some dropfoot issues. Not sure how much he has recovered from that. If he has, think he would be refreshed and ready to go.
