Of course we can do the shocker. Two in the...nevermind.But can we still do the Wichita state hand gesture?
I have a very foggy recollection of Iowa State having some of the rotating student season tickets way back in the day behind the visitor section. The band also used to be on the end/corner right next to the visitor bench. I thought the Big 8 made us move those students and the Big 12 made us move the band away from the bench but I could be wrong.
Not sure if it’s the lighting or the steep seats but it looks like an arena that a cheap movie or tv show would use to depict a high school game.
Yeah. And I'm not saying Baylor doesn't know what they are doing. I'm not saying many people in Texas don't know what they are doing.

Vets didnt get torn down. Its still there. It just got remodeled and reused for convention space etc. Wells Fargo is across the street.
But can we still do the Wichita state hand gesture?

Honestly, I kinda miss the old barn, for high school championships. It was kind of a fun atmosphere and had some unique quirks that made it kind of cool.
But I also realize there was need for a new modern updated space.
Easy the ugliest - and strangest - arena I have ever seen. Looks as though it was built with Legos by a child. I'd take UNI's arena over this one in a heartbeat.
I agree. Normally the Barn was packed and just a great atmosphere. Wells Fargo feels cold and dead.
I was in the band when that move happened, I want to say maybe for the 05-06 season?
The students and fans being able to go nuts on the sidelines was great. No barrier between them and the court so it felt like they were part of the action. I miss Vets.
And the seats were so close to the baskets on the ends of the court. In Wells, it feels like there is a huge empty space between the baskets and the fans. Plus the concession stands under the seats at Vets felt congested and dark...which made the trip an adventure!
you guys remember watching Okie State Games before they fixed their TV Angle? my gosh I hated the TV angle. Baylor's new place seems like the same thing.

It's hard to read the players numbers. Hopefully for them there is an easy fix. It will certainly deter me from watching the random game there on tv unless I have to because it's ISU.
What is the easy fix?
Sure, they could move the camera down to the proper (traditional) level, but would't that carve out some fan seating?
