Sseing Des Moines

Just as a side note Denver is much better than San Diego. I just can’t survive in a society that spends most of their time tweeting, instagramming, facebooking, and snapping out how amazing their, and all, personal trainers are the greatest people on planet earth.
That's half of Minneapolis too. I guess that's better than all of Minneapolis.

Unless there are big events going on, even KC has a pretty dead downtown and the warehouse district in Minneapolis has become pretty scetch lately.

Downtown DSM is about perfect for me. Not so popular that you can't normally get a seat for dinner or going to a bar, it's pretty safe, and traffic isn't nuts.

How so?

Yep. At least it gets better when people give up in about a month-and-a-half.

I’m kind of surprised about Minneapolis I know a lot of do it yourselfers/outdoor fitness (especially cycling) people up there that would laugh at PT people.

Keep in mind that our friends tend to involve a suburban wife, aged 35-55, that is trying to keep up with all the other suburban wives, aged 35-55. You know what, I'm a pretty lucky guy. My wife doesn't feel the need to post all that stuff. I guess I complete her.

I’m sure you do because you are completing me right now. I was worried that I was the only person noticing this disturbing trend.

Maybe I got off on the wrong street but the last time I was in that area there were a bunch of homeless, panhandlers, etc. hanging out. Also noticed it when we were taking the light rail. Seemed a lot different than my experience 10+ years earlier by the Nicholet mall area? Isn't that in the warehouse district?

35 and 55 are two WAY different spectrums to keep up with.

I know what area you are talking about. I rarely go over that way. This is more the warehouse district to me (also known as the North Loop). Nicollet Mall is more right downtown IMO. The area I circled above is super nice with some good breweries and trendy apartments and restaurants.

I think the old school warehouse district would also go along 1st Avenue until the Target Center. Some of that area can be a bit sketch. Not terrible, but a little bit.
