Honestly, now that I know Home Depot is a sponsor of his show . . I will always spend my money at Lowes. So while you seem to think his effective provocation of his potential fan base is brilliant . . Home Depot may think otherwise as the little people vote with their wallets.
Home Depot couldn't care less. As someone who's worked in advertising, it's all about the ratings. Unless of course there's a specific promotion that says 'come into Home Depot and say you heard about us on the Matt and Miller Show for an extra 10% off' ... and Home Depot's employees actually follow through and enter that information (that a customer said they heard about it on Matt and Miller) into their system. Then Home Depot can prove their advertising is effective on the show with actual numbers. Otherwise, Home Depot is more interested in how many people listen so they can keep their name in front of as many people as possible.
