the other thread got closed but I wanted to ad a comment. I don't think most ISU fans have an issue with anything you say, it is how you say it. You come off as very condesending. A lot of communication is not about content, but rather stuff like tone, inflection and stuff like that. While maybe not your intent, because of your tone and voice inflection, what gets communicated is you are having fun and taking joy from ISU's misfortunes. I enjoy your show and I agree you and Ken have some good chem. going on, but your lack of soft verbal skills is blurring the line between content and intent. Just my 2 cents.

I agree. Many of the things he says are true but you can tell somebody that they are not pretty in many different ways. "You're a dog face" is low on the list.
 
I disagree.

Look at it this way - you could make flatulence sound like Ave Maria, but it's still hot, stinky gas coming out of an *******.

Tell it like it is and why close that thread it is a chance for people to pile on him Chris WTF why let him off the hook.. He was a Jerk and hates ISU. We got a sweet deal 17 million and more when we were looking at the mountain west. He was bent over a log on this one and glad to see. He sounds like a fool I laugh my *** of at him over this. You otta hear Fennely and other coaches talk about him and laugh at him. Stay loyal to ISU and don't cower to Matty pooh!! He is getting what he asked for....

Look the thing is Matt is not honest. He says things like Iowa STate v Iowa is going to play second fiddle to UN V Iowa except today he agrees with callers that says this game is soooo important to the state. Which is it "I am 33'?

He also said that UN brings tvs...today he said they don't bring tvs they bring presitge. Holy Cow is there anything he says that is consistent other than "I am 33"?

I disagree. I can't believe someone is paying this guy to do anything more than cook hamburgers.
 
I have NEVER said Nebraska brings TVs...I said they bring a national brand - which can brings eyes to TV sets around the country....but Omaha is market 72 for TV. That's not TVs. The entire state has 1.9 million people....that's not TVs.

Again, hearing what you want to hear.

2nd - Iowa vs. Iowa State is good for the state. That's just a fact. Iowa vs. Nebraska will be a much bigger game in 3 to 5 years. That's a rivalry, in conference blood hatred. Much different type of game coming to the area than Iowa vs. Iowa State.

Again - if you quote me, quote me correctly.
 
I would say that Matt acts towards us like he feels the Lakers fans act towards the Celtics.
 
In his mind, he is never wrong... and that is what rubs people the wrong way. He talks down to people and comes off as though he thinks he is better than others.
 
You actually sound like your sorry on the radio. I don't know if it's cause you been baggin on ISU so much or you feel stupid you were so wrong.
 
no offense matt.. because I'm not a person that hates u.. but u just said on the radio today when u guys cut that guy off(and for good reasonson) that u said the Iowa vs Nebraska game would be bigger in iowa then isu vs Iowa so what u just posted is wrong

my bad I read ur post wrong but I still don't think ur right.. the Iowa state vs Iowa game will be bigger if it continues IMHO as far as in stte just because the entire week leading up to it

Well gigs, seems like everyone else is to blame for your inability to get us to understand your opinion. U sir r the constant in the formula. Try to take people advice and maybe us dumb midwesterners can understand your elitist schtick.

No, Iowa vs. Nebraska will be the biggest game in the state of Iowa in 3 to 5 years. I stand behind that and have said that since this talk of NU in the Big 10 started. That doesn't mean that Iowa vs. Iowa State should go away.
 
We are not going to get 17 million why do people keep saying that?

We will be lucky to sniff 14 probably closer to 10 mill once texas takes their 25
