Here may be why we should stick with the I-STATE logo and forget the twirl or bird. Below is a logo used by a school from 1971-'78 that was then replaced in 1979 and that "new" has been used nearly unchanged since. That school's new logo, though kind of unattractive in my opinion, is distinct and in its stability has created a recognizable representation of that school.

Keep that in mind if you approach our coach and the Ad. Traditional colors in a solid yet appealing depictive logo is the way to go. Some of the mock-ups here have that.

I'm not gonna lie, if/when we're having a successful season and end up in respectable bowl game, I'm all about these being Iowa State's alternate uniform for a bowl game. Let's embrace how ridiculous and easily swayed fans and kids are with novelty uniform changes. You gotta be able to laugh at yourself and your stereotype, that takes true confidence.

...then again, maybe the Stanford band could wear similar uniforms next time they play Iowa?

We likely will not know about any future uniform changes, if any, until the coaches decide, then decide to tell the players. The players will be the first to know, if/when that happens. Once that happens (again, a big IF), then we will likely know thru social media pretty quick. So best for now to just wait it out and let the current staff decide what they want to do, and when to release that information. Don't hold your breath. The rest is really just speculation, fun as it may be, at times, but I'm pretty sure the administration and staff of ISU do not frequent this board, nor rely on it's input. And that is the way it is, and probably should be due to a number of factors that the average fan cannot fully understand.

I have been told (Mr. Pollard) that we will be keeping the I-State mark logo, and keeping the current "official" secondary logos, and the current color scheme. Beyond that is anyone's guess. Stay tuned, but for me, I am just going to wait and see.

I know its been stated but idk if its true. But is it true that we would have had to put in the order for new uniforms last year? If that is true, we may not see them this year.
