Agreed, but the recruits love seeing different uniform choices. Is this the final factor for recruiting, no. But, kids like seeing it. Gives them something to look at on the long trek to the airport.

At least half of that list has worn some sort of alternate uniform in the last year or so. You're out of touch if you don't think that uniforms matter to these kids.
Campbell needs to get some mock-ups and show them to the team and recruits. Whatever they like best is what we do. Don't release them to the public ahead of time because, if you read any uniform threads on here, no one can agree on anything. Since they are done for players/recruits, let them decide.

All they did was take a teams logo or alternate logo/mascot and make it bigger for every single team. I should've been a designer if that's all it takes!
Colors are pretty good and imo the gold helmet with the gold pants is by far the best way to go as we've never been able to get a good match on the red helmets and red jerseys. Would probably have to have the I-State on the helmet. Still would like to see Trice stripes on the pants and jersey sleeves to give us something unique if Nike would be ok with it.
Love it how everyone PRESUMES to know what a recruit loves and does not love. How do any of you know what they want and don't want unless you have walked in their shoes. Given that most of these kids are fresh out of highschool there is a reasonable assumption that they are going to like flashy unis and accessories. And to a degree I also agree with this line of thinking, but ultimately, but ultimately all of the best recruits are going to go where they think they have the best chance of winning or to the school they loved growing up. For the rest of those recruits it behooves the football program to do anything in it power to attract and retain the best of the rest. And if flashy alternate unis if one of those tools then it should be used. Who gives a damn what the best power 5 schools do, the coaches need to do what they need to do to improve this football program. Bring on the flashy unis!
So you guys kinda like almost gold pants with mustard yellow helmets? Really? Maybe it's just personal preference I guess but the mustard yellow is not and has never been our colors. CRDINAL and GOLD
How can anyone like those colors? That is exactly what is wrong with our colors. We don't need to enhance it.
I've never understood why yellow has replaced gold in our uniforms. Can't or won't Nike provide the gold color, or did ISU want yellow instead of gold?
unless you are 13 or under, you probably shouldnt be wearing a jersey anyway, so I look at it as a good thing.
not that I'm defending the design here because i don't like it, however i believe the color of the pants are due to the shading that is applied in that photoshop template.
