I've gotten a few texts from friends on campus, saying it is "insane", "crazier than veishea", and nothing like they have seen before. One is even afraid of the crowd slipping into riot mode and causing some damage.

My roommate and I headed up to central campus for a half hour. We sang the national anthem, recited the pledge of allegiance and broke out into chants of "**** OSAMA!" We then left in case it did break out into riots and damage and such.

I'm watching all this on msnbc as well as keeping an eye on CF. I knew that people would be excited but I NEVER thought that the celebrations would be on the caliber that they are. God, I am SO happy to be an American!
