Sounds like the NCAA is about to issue a statement

The worse part is the charge call was a point of concern for the NCAA this summer

Whether or not the heel is inside the arc isn't be the only thing that matters. In fact, the NCAA was concerned about that very point last summer, and tried to address the assumption that officials have become too dependent on the line and ignore other aspects of the block/charge call.

Before the offensive player (with the ball) becomes airborne, the defender must have two feet on the floor, be facing the opponent and be stationary to draw a charge. Otherwise, it should be a blocking foul.

The more attention to bad officiating WITH A BIAS FOR THE POPULAR/NAME-BRAND/TELEVISION-READY TEAM there is the better.

We can only hope. this is not a battle, it is a campaign. Kansas fights this campaign relentlessly to keep getting the bias and calls their way during conference games. They are lobbying and working the referee psych 12 months a year.....those referees know damn well which school will cost them a job and which one will get a slap if they blow a call.
So we may get a statement. If OSU had been the recipient of such a bad call during the high profile final seconds of the game, the NCAA would have made a public crucifixion of that referee and banned him from future tournaments as a warning to all others.

I believe there is something in the NCAA Rulebook about 2 official apologies = 1 extra scholarship for the next year. It's right after the rule about a foot hovering about the restricted circle.

I want someone to bring up the Kansas game, and put up video. Also, the Oklahoma State call that Higgins reversed. Think that would get some attention at CBS?

I do.

Wait a second guys this could be big. With our resiliency in the face of these calls we are probably favorites for the sportsmanship award.

Save your ******* statement I have enough toilet paper.

All I know is I expect some awful calls to go our way next year in Hilton...doesn't make it right, but this is twice we've received statements that refs messed up calls against us JUST THIS YEAR...if a third happens, well, then is becomes a trend and should be looked into just a little bit deeper. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but just aware that money has found its way into refs pockets before/shaving for gambling winnings (Tim Donaghy being the high profile NBA guy) and it won't be the last time. It's just a little more than coincidence it happens against teams like Ohio St and Kansas in upset possibilities. If this happens early in the year against FGCU then we probably aren't talking about it.

Greg Anthony is an idiot. I get it that Craft made a great play...but Clyburn made a great play too. Only difference is the official jobbed him out of his.

He wasn't set anyway, it's a terrible rule and a terrible call... The idea that a guy can just run over and stand under u and its an offensive foul is stupid and needs to change

Sweet maybe we'll get a participant trophy to hang from the rafters. It'll be really small so you'll have to sit in the nosebleeds to see it, but that doesn't make it less real.

Actually, it'll be the third official apology JUST THIS YEAR if it happens. We already got one from the Okie Lite game at their place, and the KU game.

This is just stupid. I don't understand why more calls are not reviewable. Make it just like football where there needs to be conclusive evidence to overturn a call. It's not that difficult of a change to make.

I want the statement. The more attention it gets the better.

the ncaa needs to start punishing refs with the punishment made public. not this business of "the concerned official's games will be adjusted, and the league will offer no further comment"
