Shootings in North Central IA.

agree. I keep coming back to this story as well. I went to high school in Algona, so maybe it just hits close to home. I just feel terrible for the victim's families. Poof, life extinguished just like that. And for what? It makes me sick

You put into words what I couldn't about how I feel about this.

Honestly, even if Iowa did have a death penalty, that would not be punishment enough for this kid.
 
Thank you guys for clarifying the details of my original post. It's now apparent that part of the news I received at 2:00 am was inaccurate. Extremely sad story regardless.
 
Hopefully the punk kid will get Life without parole and spend the rest of his life being somebody's sex toy in prison. That should wipe the smile off his face.
 
I think the state should give me 15 minutes in a bare room with him before he get's put away. It would save a lot of money for the state and this ****** would get his.

The really sad part is that the mother of the punk kid murderer called authorities on Monday morning and reported that her son, who been in tons of legal trouble, had taken her car and debit card. The Minnesota authorities were supposed to be on the lookout for him.

One would think that he would have had to have used the debit card to get gas as he went north to Big Fork which is about an hour south of the Canadian border. Now we know that it should have been an APB in hindsight.

The kid is obviously a deranged sociopath.

Wow, I didn't realize that. What an awful, awful situation.
 
Wow. Sounds like he was a winner from the start. Torturing animals? Shots fired at his home? Breaking into cars by the age of 8? I bet the parents are fine, upstanding citizens as well...

I have an overwhelming urge to just beat the living **** out of him. I can't imagine what the family members feel right now.

Interesting thing about the animal torture. Most mass murders and seriously deranged murders have tortured animals in their youth. My wife is a pre school teacher and knew a kid that did this. His parents were good people and extremely concerned on how he will turn out in life.

Not saying the parents are good but to judeg them without facts is a little premature. The kid has some obvious metal issues

I suppose you're right. Knee jerk reaction on my part. The other article from the Minnesota paper makes it seem like they were at a loss of what to do and got the authorities involved early and often. It's hard to figure out what went wrong.
