His best friend from high school was there, and from what I've read that played a big role. He was top 140 composite, I believe, and had a lot of interest but only a few of the bigger named offers. He was short, and that scared people off, I think he will be first-team in that league no doubt, but I was surprised that he ended up there when I first heard the news as well.

Thanks for the answer. Are you of @CyTwins opinion that he is as good as Jackson? I find it hard to believe, but Twins thinks Custer would have kept ISU from recruiting PG.

Vanderbilt has a top 50 RPI, Higher ranking in all the metrics, BPI, Ken Pom Sagarin. Harder strength of schedule. And 6 top RPI top 50 wins against 5 for Iowa. Not that hard to see they had a better resume. Not sure why you think so when no one else does'?

Because I hate them and 15 losses shouldn't be in the tourney. Give the bid to Illinois State instead.

No, he is not as good as Jackson. But I can't say with 100% certainty that if he would have stayed here he couldn't get to Jackson's level, because he was a high-ranked recruit coming out of HS.

But no, if I were asked who I thought were better, Jackson would be my choice no question.

That's what I figured, thanks for the honest assessment. I Don't know if @CyTwins is just bad at assessing talent or just constantly trying to troll me.

So about 30 spots lower than Connor's composite this year?

I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. Did I miss a post or say something off base here?

sorry, didn't mean to offend. I guess you really think Custer and Jackson are the same.

I just wonder how many ISU fans would agree with you on that. I think Jackson is easily better. I'm wondering if Clone fans agree with @HawkeyeMashup or @CyTwins on this one?

I said they are similar players in terms of their strengths which is true. I think Jackson is better than Custer. I'm happy Custer isn't here because if he is we might not have have gotten Jackson
