Iowa fans will be glued to the TV for some elite basketball tonight and will cheer for WVU
Lunardi has Iowa as Next Four Out now. Still think Iowa needs 3 more wins to feel good about getting in, but we will see.
Both teams went on long droughts. Didn't Iowa have like 15 points in the first 13 minutes of the 2nd half. Exciting, high level basketball there.
PSU is a no win situation, you have to win to tread water. Same with first game in BTT. Second game could move that needle just enough, but maybe not enough.
They have their own fragile unrealistic tournament dreams to worry about right now so maybe they'll leave us alone for once and let the better team be the better team. But you're probably right about them watching, it's going to be a well fought game. Plus the more haters that watch you to hate, the more ratings you get, the more nationally televised games you are rewarded with.

Thats because Iowa doesn't play in a defense optional conference.
No, I was referring to you stating that each team went through a 10 minute scoring drought. That didnt happen.
Hate to break it to you, that was not good defense, that was piss poor offense. And yes, the Big 10 is defense optional in both basketball and football. Just because some teams play really, really slow, doesn't mean they are good at defense.
The Big ten is the weakest I've ever seen it in my 30+ years of following basketball..If ever there was a year for Iowa to win the conf this would have been it..You have to have either 2 studs, like AA studs, to get to a FF or 3-4 really really good all conf players to even have a chance mixed with some serious luck. When Iowa gets there let us know. Bohanon is a nice player but im guessing regresses some next year and if Cook is nothing more than a great athlete who dunks.
So the #10 team in the country vs the #24 team in the country is elite.. I would reserve that talk for a top 5 matchup. That being said, still a very good matchup tonight with ISU/WVU.
