What?
In 2015, Iowa was up 8 with under 2 minutes left and committed 3 turnovers in the last 1:04.
In 2013, Iowa was up 5 with 1:29 left and Iowa committed 1 turnover and went 0-4 from the FT line in the last 89 seconds.
Watching EIU and Wisconsin last night was REALLY difficult. at least 10 minute scoring drought for both teams, no one executing passing. Occassional runs, no ball movement, and haphazard rebounding. It looked like the JV game.
Both teams went on long droughts. Didn't Iowa have like 15 points in the first 13 minutes of the 2nd half. Exciting, high level basketball there.Yeah, that didnt happen.
PSU is a no win situation, you have to win to tread water. Same with first game in BTT. Second game could move that needle just enough, but maybe not enough.Lunardi has Iowa as Next Four Out now. Still think Iowa needs 3 more wins to feel good about getting in, but we will see.
They have their own fragile unrealistic tournament dreams to worry about right now so maybe they'll leave us alone for once and let the better team be the better team. But you're probably right about them watching, it's going to be a well fought game. Plus the more haters that watch you to hate, the more ratings you get, the more nationally televised games you are rewarded with.Iowa fans will be glued to the TV for some elite basketball tonight and will cheer for WVU
yes, there were a ton of scoring droughts last night, which is why no one scored 60Yeah, that didnt happen.

The second half started with a 1:35 scoring drought.
I agree, I think they need 3 more to realistically have a shot.PSU is a no win situation, you have to win to tread water. Same with first game in BTT. Second game could move that needle just enough, but maybe not enough.
Hate to break it to you, that was not good defense, that was piss poor offense. And yes, the Big 10 is defense optional in both basketball and football. Just because some teams play really, really slow, doesn't mean they are good at defense.Thats because Iowa doesn't play in a defense optional conference.

No, just come over to the dark side. You'll want to hop on the bandwagon now for the upcoming final fours over the next few years.
2 of the top teams in one of the best conferences in the country=Elite.Good? Yes. Elite? Ummm, not sure that qualifies.
