Guys like White, Olaseni, Marble, Clemmons improved alot under Fran. On the other side you have guys like Gessell, Woodbury, Oglesby who never lived up to their star ratings, then guys like Basabe who continued to get worse as they brought in better players.

Clemmons?

His minutes dropped as a sophomore and there was talk of him transferring after that year because he would never see the floor again. He ended up being a decent defender and game manager by his senior season.

Wow Fran really developed him lol

some choice quotes from the article:

"The crown jewel of the Sports Commission is the NAIA Women’s National Basketball Tournament"... said no one ever.

"NAIA officials will tell you no one does it better than Sioux City..." eww.

I will go on record that Jim Wharton is a pretty good dude. I wont bash on him. It probably was a bit of a slap in the face that they didnt hit up the hordes of Hawk fans in the Siouxland area. I have no doubt Fran was trying to ride the coattails of the other teams that have played in Sioux Falls as of late. However, youd think that Fran would want to stay away from Sioux Falls, thats where Augustana is.

To be fair, Iowa gains NOTHING by playing a game in Sioux City. The game against Colorado will most likely be a nationally televised game on one of the ESPN's and if the game is played in Sioux City BTN plus is probably best case scenario. Why would Iowa take a home game away from their fans when the benefit would be minimal?

With how bad Iowa is they might be better off not playing on national television

They don't attend very well?

They don't attend very well?

Iowa's attendance isn't that bad. Yeah, we like to poke fun because we sell out every game but they are still getting pretty decent attendance. Their student section/attendance is pretty bad but they are filling a lot of seats with donors/season ticket holders. No, they aren't selling out but it's not any worse than what you are seeing at OU, OSU, Baylor, Tech, or even UT.

Sounds like Uhl is going to play which means Fran is going play 12 guys tonight. Might have to tune into this one
