Surprisingly enough, it was Sears. And yeah - if I hadn't seen it I wouldn't have believed he did.I am surprised they did, I didn't figure Murphy was doing sports last night so didn't watch.

I'm not exactly sure what to make of this. Seems kind of random. It's not impressive but not totally unimpressive. Maybe next time they'll state that Baer put on his left shoe first before 11 of the 21 games so far.

When Eustachy did it, we called it, 'fighting for your team'
I think the jury is out on Bohannon. I've seen games where he was just awful and games when he looked pretty good. That's a freshman for you. Fran's track record on player improvement is not great though.

Stuff like this gives statistics a bad name.
When Eustachy did it, it was because his team was getting screwed out of a shot at the National Championship with some sketchy calls.
If this wasn't a regular thing for McCafferey, it wouldn't get mocked.
I've heard that he's very pleasant in person and a generally good dude, and his practices are top notch (I think Jay Bilas said that), but he can't control himself in games, and I don't see how even the refs or his own players can take him seriously.
I rarely watch Iowa and the only things I ever hear about them is McCafferey going crazy or Woodbury maliciously, purposefully trying to cause harm to other players or being cheap, and they're all out of the latter.
JorBo is an elite PG to Iowa fans and to be fair, they did have this product on the court a few years back. Never forget...Bohannon can shoot when he's wide open. He's wide open a lot because Jok gets doubles. Next year. Buh bye welcome to shut down town because you're tiny and slow.

That is surprising for him. As much as Murph is in the back pocket of Iowa anymore I don't know if he would have shown in. To be fair he will probably have Fran's wife on the show today to talk about what it is like watching him coach from the stands.

Like who?Like who?
I can think of several players that have really developed well under Fran considering how they looked as freshman and where they were ranked and who else offered them coming out of high school.

Melsahn Basabe for one. Guy stormed out of the gates as a freshman. Hawkeye Nation had threads full of folks hoping he stuck around til his junior year, at least. And 4 years later, he was basically the exact same player. Heck, you can make the case that he actually regressed.Like who?

Woody increased his average points per game by a whopping 2.7 points over the course of his Iowa career. Increased his rebounds per game by a staggering 3.5 though.
Gesell increased his assists per game over the course of 4 years... but basically nothing else.
How about Josh Oglesby?
These weren't just seat filler, bench guys. These were major minute guys.
