Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #3 seed

The Big 12 is the best in many years..........way above average IMO. You can't compare Iowa to ISU with Naz out. By comparison Hawks s*ck.

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #4 seed

If they lose to Michigan I think they play on the opening day which from where they were was nearly impossible.

Never underestimate what they can accomplish.

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #4 seed

The Pig year collapse was a 1-7 finish, at 1-5 now. @Mich might keep it going but that first round of the BTT is likely going to be a horrible team...gotta think it snaps there.

And the "one" was a tight home win over Purdue who couldn't beat anybody.

This year's version of Purdue was Minnesota.

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #3 seed

So where does this thread end up after the hoks lose the next 2?

"Iowa MBB definitely not even a #6 seed"

Iowa MBB definitely not even a #8 seed"

"Iowa MBB earns a #3 seed in the NIT"

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #4 seed

Although I expect Iowa to win 2 games in the B1G Tourney, and am 50/50 on the MU game for them, IF they lose the MU and the first round of the B1G Tourney, are they still and NCAA team?

Yes but they would fall to probably an 8 or 9 seed.

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #4 seed

Gotcha... IMO that has an asterisk ... meaning how conference tourneys go ... it could be disaster.

My hope, is they are in a play in game.....
I'd love if they would lose outt, it's a shame that they aren't on the bubble. I could imagine Hok fans tearing their hair out.

I just don't see how anyone could project that with confidence. If they lose to Michigan, they likely have MSU if they get past Penn St. If they win, most likely Purdue.

That said, even if they lose out, I don't see them going lower than a 7.

Nothing they could possibly do to even be close to the bubble.

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #4 seed

Now they even get to miss LaVert for game in Michigan. He is out for remainder of season.
