Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

Therefore, UNI is better than UNC and ISU. Augustana is better than Iowa. Oklahoma State is better than Kansas (much better, in fact).

That is an extremely weak argument. That's like saying RPI means nothing bc it has Dayton ranked ahead of Iowa State.

Ken Pom tells you a lot about how good a team is. Efficiency ratings are one of the best tools to use when evaluating teams. RPI is ok but not great.
Iowa is just as good as OU right now. I know you probably don't want to admit it and probably won't admit it but Iowa is one of the top few teams in the country and has a legit shot to win the Big ten and get a number 1 seed.

Also big 12 is not the best conference in basketball. The round robin might make conference scheduled tougher than some but doesn't make it the best.

So in one post you validate KenPom, and in the next post, you contradict what KenPom has told us all season: The Big 12 is the best conference in the country.

And it's not just KenPom. It's every metric you can find; human polls, computer polls, eye test, media perception, etc.

There's not a conference in the country this year I would just hand being the best, most of the teams in the top 20 can knock each other off. The Big12 was embarrassing last year in the tournament too, so you should probably stop beating your chest about it, you sound like SEC fans.

The Big 12 is the best conference in basketball this year. It's not really that close either. All the metrics, analysts, experts say it's the best. I don't know how you could even argue differently right now

Every fanbase beats their chest about conference strength. The Big 12 did have a rough tournament last season. What does that have to do with this season?

The point wasn't about conference strength. It was about a poster using KenPom when it was convenient and then completely ignoring it when it wasn't.

Is this the highest the Hoks have been ranked in fball and bball in same season?

A one point loss at Hilton is basically a win in most computers.

I would say yes. A glorious time right now to be a Hawk fan. I'm loving every minute of it and cherishing it. I know these seasons don't come around very often. Have to enjoy it because it can change quick.
