Look again. On one of them I think he does it while the ball is still in the air. Even the guys on the bench know that more times than not when he shoots the three it is going in.
I rewatched Scotty's last three last night a couple of times and he is clearly making the "cut" sign (waving the fingertips back and forth under the chin) and saying "It's over." It is clearly not the throat slash which is a single drag of the hand or thumb across the throat. I know a lot of people who have used what Scotty did as a silent "cut it off" or "stop it" motion as long as I can remember. Even some quarterbacks use it as the signal to change the play to the alternate play called in the huddle.
A bit cocky? Yes. T worthy? Not a chance.

If I were them, I'd be more concerned with why Brommer looks like he was recently bitten by a zombie and is showing early symptoms of turning into one.
