Royce White at Knicks mini-camp

I knew I would get killed for that!

I guess I should have prefaced with 'it he ever got his head on straight'.

I still believe in todays league he could be an all star with his physical gifts.

I don't. Unless he learned how to shoot. I think he can play in the league but nowhere near an all-star.

What is the record for tryouts, camps, d league, etc...without actually playing? he may have it

Royce never had a jump shot IIRC, definitely not a 3 pt shooter either. Not even a fair comparison to Draymond Probably has (had) better handles than Draymond, but that's probably about the only thing he's got on him

Size, maybe not height(I dont know and am too lazy to look it up), but broader shoulders, and stronger legs. A quicker first step and a more skilled passer. When he came out of ISU at least. But, the comparison to Draymond is so far off base.

I remember an article on Royce about his hand size being so large that it affected his ability to release the ball smoothly on shots. No, Royce is not a shooter, but he's an athlete and has great vision. I'm hopeful he gains momentum this time around and finds a home in the league.

I hope sometime Royce makes it, but reading all of that I don't think he will. Hopefully he can achieve his quest for enlightening people about mental health issues.

White and Niang on same team? Chicago??? Now I'm interested in the nba

We're close to a Cyclone line up. Maybe next year?

(Morris)
Babb
Nader
Niang
White or McKay is also in the summer league

Imagine that as the Bulls lineup. It would be great until they went 0-82 and Hoiberg got fired. But I would be watching so it's worth it.

Royce wont be playing in the NBA.

The few games he played for the Kings were because the crazy owner was force feeding the coach to play him and put him on the roster.

He has not been basketball relevant since the Kentucky game.

He was a special talent and had one of the all time great single seasons for a Cyclone basketball player.

If he was serious about making a come back he would be establishing himself in the D league or Europe.

His anxiety disorder and/ or other issues/motivations are preventing this probably.

I would compare his point forward role/position similiar to Paul Pressley or Jalen Rose but with out a perimeter game and more of a power to the basket and finish at the rim. He does not have an effective game away from the ball so that limits his versatility and effectiveness. He needs the offense run through him to contribute. His defensive is limited.
