Royce White at Knicks mini-camp

Obviously the odds of Royce making the NBA at this point are against him, but hopefully he is in shape and flash in the summer league to make the Knicks. He does have an skill set that would be fun to see in the league and I'll always be rooting for a Cyclone to succeed in what ever they do.

White at least picked a good situation for his reentry to the NBA chance and should get a reasonable opportunity to make the roster. The Knicks don't have any draft picks in this class currently thus should have a couple of roster spots open for developmental players. Hornacek in his first year coach should be familiar with his game and be more willing to take a chance on a former ISU player with potential. Jeff also can talk to CFH about the best ways to engage Royce to stay focused.

I really doubt any head coach is going to spend much time working on getting an end of the roster type to focus. If he can't focus himself, there are plenty of guys who can take that spot who can.

I don't think he would spend a lot of time on it, but if it is a unique talent who can do a combination of things most players can't and there is a need on the roster it is a possibility that a coach might take a little time to try to get a foothold in the guy's head. Keep in mind that this coach doesn't have to worry about recruiting in the off-season and preseason.

Good for him. I hope he has it figured and and can still salvage a respectable NBA career. It would be a shame if the best that a player with his abilities could manage was a cup of coffee with the Kings.

I get pumped whenever Royce is relevant again (for something actually basketball related). Glad to see he is still pursuing basketball

Go Royce! I have a special affinity for serious ballers that can't get their personal stuff straightened out to make it work.

I knew I would get killed for that!

I guess I should have prefaced with 'it he ever got his head on straight'.

I still believe in todays league he could be an all star with his physical gifts.

Your preface doesn't help.

Not really helping yourself here.
