I heard it from my brother. He is a giant sports nerd and always gives me good information on things. He told me last night that it was what he has been hearing from an Iowa message board and that it is probably just a rumor. Not sure what to make of it. Really would not make sense for a senior to leave when he is most likely going to start. But then again, it didn't make sense for Bevins to leave. Guess it's wait and see if anything comes of it.
Look at his twitter. He has been as chill and normal as can be the last week. Nothing to allude there is a problem of any kind. Tweeting about class etc.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say you probably should put your brother's information in the "not so sure" box if he is pulling information about ISU from the Iowa fan boards. Does your brother work for the university or some sort of sports entity?
Nope, but I have been very surprised by info he has passed along to me over the years that has been true. I think he just forgot to tell me where he read the info when he first told me about it. Last night we were hanging out and he told me where he heard it from.

If Cousin comes through as a solid stopper at NT, along with Irving and Coe in the middle and perhaps another JUCO backup (plus Aka may develop as well)...to go with Pierson and Morrissey coming off the edge, that's not a bad front wall and has a bit of depth. Should make things a little easier for Knott, Brackens and Harris at the LB slots (backed up by Meeks, Miller and Peters...a decent 2nd team).

It's just Coe clowning around with Morrissey, Levi Peters and Meeks about Morrissey never returning messages. Morrissey said anyone who likes it isn't his friend anymore and coe chimed in with sponge bobs quarter pants. Not exactly the kind of good banter you would expect among teammates if Coe had truly just quit the team. Nothing more. I would wager it is totally not true and apparently out of left field.

Three of the four spots up front look to be in good shape. The "if Cousin comes through" is absolutely critical to being a solid run stopping defense. As of yet, he hasn't proven that he can anchor that spot in games, but you have to give him an opportunity to show what he can do. If he does come through, there is still an issue of no proven depth at the NT position. Losing Jensen after spending 4 years developing him hurts in that regard.
