Rhoads doesn't anticipate staff changes

Sure, he coached those linebackers. But they were concealing a lot of other issues with the rest of the defense. Even if they were coached well (how much was coaching and how much was their talent level?) coaching one portion extremely well and the rest poorly is still a failure.

He doesn't coach the rest, he calls plays for the rest.

Your reading and comprehension needs work. Of course he deserves a good amount of blame. Some here just put it 100% on him. Same group praised him first few seasons. Wally is a good coach. It also may be best for ISU that he moves on for new blood and jolt into the defense.

It's shared - period. Both the good and the bad.
 
I saw the press conference. He said that "it's not on his mind right now" because of a recruiting trip he's going on. He then said that things that need to be improved upon will be discussed.

So people praised Rhoads when he did well, and are criticizing him when he's failing. How unfair. The double standards.

I think he's referring to the people who get too high and too low. Some people when he was winning thought he was the best thing to ever happen to Iowa State, to some of those same people now he's the anti-******.

No, let them twist the words to support their tantrum.
 
No coach with any kind of resume is going to come to ISU and coach for 1 year. Not going to happen. I can't think a freaking D2 coordinator would even do that. Wally or Shane, take your pick!
 
I've gone from sad to mad, this is the sign of a fallen program. No one would join this staff anyways so.

People have done dumber things. David Beaty just left A&M to be Kansas coach. Feel bad for his wife knowing her husband only has 2 maybe 3 years to live.
 
Leading the nation again in punt yards. Had 361 more yards with our ten punts. Even had one of our awesome nine first downs with a penalty for running into the kicker.
 
There's gonna have to be some really fancy talking pretty soon. All this ambiguity is causing a serious split in the Cyclone fan base. Whether you support Rhodes or want him fired, something needs to be done to bring everyone together.

I'm not sure it can be done. There's a lot of bad feelings right now. Hope everything can calm down a bit, so we can reach a reasonable level of dialog.

Yeah you don't fire someone when they are on a recruiting trip with you . They probably have visits scheduled. You take time and evaluate and then do what you have to do when the trip is over.

Winless SMU beat UCONN in fball.
Michigan lost to Mickey Mouse NJIT in bball.
ISU was rolled by TCU for style points.
Just another normal weekend in sports.
