Redskins = WFT = Commanders?

Some branding consultant got paid 3 million dollars to change the name to Commanders and make a fancy looking "W" logo.
I'm sure the popular thing will be to hate it, but honestly I don't mind it. Their colors are classic, I like the W on the helmet, and the name is fine. I don't love where it says Commanders on the front of the red uniform, I like how it says Washington on the white one better.
Their ownership still sucks though.
Frankly, I like Washington Football Team. Seemed very old school.

Why in gods name do we stay fans of this pathetic excuse for a franchise? I tried to switch a couple years ago, but it just didn’t feel right. Maybe we’re masochists?
If I was an owner I'd just ask for fans to submit designs. $100k and season tix. A lot cheaper than paying a design firm

lol, they were literally selling access to their topless cheerleaders and using them as personal escorts for wealthy investors, but "Commanders" is just a bridge too far?
I liked the idea of Warthogs or Red Hogs. Ties back to the history of the franchise and the Hogs of the '80s. The only other major sports brand using anything close to that is the Arkansas Razorbacks. It doesn't wander into the faux patriotism thing that Commanders, Generals, or Admirals do. And "Hail to the Hogs" is a much better cheer.
This is a great idea since the fan is the one you want to impress with your product. Theyre invested
Great question. I was sick of Dan Snyder and his nonsense long before that, but both that and the abomination that was the "celebration" of Sean Taylor really made me sick.
I seriously thought an Arizona State player got cropped into the mix by mistake.
