Simpson added a Wisconsin offer today.

He's planning on visiting UW now, replacing the Purdue most likely.

X's Dad did sound like the uncertainty of Fred leaving was concerning to them pre-Prohm. I gotta assume Bo Ryan's uncertain future will come in to play for them with UW too.
(Even if Bo has reconsidered retiring next year at this point. Hard to say he'll stay all 4 of XS years)

I'd think this too, but they claim to have their 'Coach In Waiting' with Greg Gard. If Gard is in on his recruiting and they say 1-2 years w/ Bo and presumably 3-4 with Gard I don't think it's a knock against Wisconsin.

Except if he looks at history, he'd see almost any time there's been a "coach in waiting" it's resulted in a massive disappointment.

Well doesn't that kinda put to rest the theory that XS may be hesitant to come here cuz Monte might stay & he wants to be 'the guy'? Koenig has more years left than Monte. How does he get to be 'the man' or run the show at UW sooner than ISU?

Teams probably bring in point guards (or combos) in 3 of every 4 recruiting cycles, there's always going to be "somebody" there.

I think that's a theory that mostly exists only in the minds of a few on this board. Does a PG recruit truly think we are only going to recruit ONE PG for a given team? Nobody else will be recruited for that position? That's ludicrous.

To be honest, for 2016 class, Iowa State probably NEEDS at least 2 recruits at PG because we can't be sure what Monte will be doing for 2016. One HS and one JUCO.
