Having driven all over this country Iowa is hilly, Nebraska has plains but Western Iowa is the same as Neb. Iowa is far more lush however. Biggest difference is we don't date our sisters.

I'm disappointed that as good as CMC has been, and as much a priority as they have given in getting out to the local HS is the state, that we will leave this recruiting cycle with none of the top 5 in Iowa committed to the Cyclones. We have reported offers to all of them as well. Iowa got 4 of the 5 and now Nebraska has the other.

Or, you could just wait a a few days until Dekkers gets his post Opening rating boost and sits at #1 for 247. One of the two.

Ratings like this are purely subjective. Not sure why anyone puts so much weight on them.

Until I opened the Rivals link I had no idea Kansas had a commitment from an Iowa kid. He must have been well under that radar. Both 247 and Rivals seem to have Hurkett overrated when you look at his offers or lack there of.

Everything east (edit) of 71 looks like Illinois. Is that what you were trying to say?

West? I think you meant east? Illinois is really diverse much like Iowa. Southern Illinois is really beautiful. Flat all the way to Chicago from the quad cities though. You're right that after 71 the rolling hills start and if you have just driven through Nebraska it is very obvious.

There is a rumor I’ve heard about him. His hips are really messed up. Idk how true that is, but I heard it.
