Just thought I'd pop in with a couple tidbits I've picked up this morning.

*** Iowa State will have someone in Arizona today to see three-star offensive tackle Joey Ramos. The No. 46 offensive tackle in the class officially visited Ames over the weekend and is set to take an official visit to Arizona State this coming weekend. Matt Campbell has already gone in-home with Ramos so I'm guessing it will be Tom Manning and (probably) Alex Golesh going in to see him today.

*** Cordova, Tenn. running back Jeremy Banks will have Matt Campbell and Lou Ayeni in to see him today as well. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound three-star is set to visit Tennessee this coming weekend and it sounds like they could be the frontrunners at this point, but who knows. Iowa State has been on Banks for a long time so it will be interesting to see how things play out. It sounds like it will come down to Iowa State, Nebraska and Tennessee.

Any word on the hype train that is: Joe Burrow transferring to Iowa State and being the next Joe Montanya?

I won't count Coach Campbell out of anyone's recruitment, and he has an Ames connection, but Nebraska has an even more available QB position and would probably satisfy a childhood dream. If he's transferring.

Does anyone know what happened to Tymar Sutton?

Not trying to be cryptic but he made a very vague tweet that a bunch of coaches and players were retweeting

looks like a tweet a player makes after getting injured... but maybe he just failed his Library final? Who knows.. we've alllll been there.

Tanner Lee is a junior and I doubt he goes pro.

But Tanner Lee does not fit into coach Scott Frost's offense so he will almost certainly be riding the pine next season. That is unless Frost strikes out on bringing in a good dual-threat QB transfer or Freshman. He is not going to waste a year trying to get Tanner Lee to adapt to Frost's style of play.

Tanner's a first round NFL quarterback according to the locals, mini-rebellion if he is not the starter. I would be shocked if Lee doesn't start next year whatever Frost's style is.
