Recruit Lists v2.0

I think If Monte was going to be a senior this season we would already have one possibly 2 PG's committed. But since there's a possibility of him returning for the 16-17 season I think the recruits we're recruiting will be semi hesitant to commit. I think it's more likely we land Simpson/a HS PG than Jackson/Strong due to the fact that Simpson/a HS PG will have 3 years to play compared to 1 year for Jackson/Strong if Monte stays for his senior season.

Read today about the four schools recruiting Mitch Ballock the hardest. Did not include us. Darn. I know Charlie was his lead recruiter, but I really thought we could keep connected with this kid. But maybe its a given that he wants to go to instate school KU anyways so we put our efforts elsewhere. Idk.

Massive waste of time for everyone not named Bill.

I'd be ecstatic with Simpson, Horne, and Malou. Throw in either Cook and Jackson for good measure and that is a solid class.

Put me down for Simpson, Malou, A Cook, T Cook, a grad transfer PF, and a grad transfer SF.

If Monte leaves then Jackson or Strong also.

They will get a HS AND Juco PG.

You may be right, but I think that Prohm is committed to 2 PG for this class. My hope is that we land both Simpson and Jackson, as I think that would lend itself to a nice class balance. In addition, there is plenty of playing time available for 2PG during a season, and having them 2 classes apart would be perfect. Think back to the Kane/Monte balance.

We have to plan for Monte to be gone after this year, as the chance he is back is very slim. I'm sure Prohm is selling it as such. I would think our playing time situation is very attractive to kids right now.

While I wouldn't be surprised to see Morris go Pro, I think it's more likely be stays than leaves. But yes it's still an option they should be preparing for. They can get minutes at SG too.

I think realistically it's more likely for Monte to return than for him to go to the NBA. He's not even projected as a 2nd rounder right now on most mock drafts. And I would assume that he doesn't plan on leaving unless he's a 1st rounder. So he's going to have to have an incredible year to jump all the way up to a 1st rounder.

There is no way we land 2 PG's if Monte stays

Except we won't know if Monte stays for his senior year until April. Monte can say he's going to go pro after this season now, but how will anyone actually know? It all depends on how much he raises his stock this year and how good the draft class shapes up. This doesn't make any sense. Besides, unless you're one of the top 3 or 4 incoming point guards, you really expect to start from Day 1 at a P5 program? A guy like Simpson would get to learn for a year under Morris, which would be a dream since Monte has All-American potential this year and next then he would get to take the reins for the next three years. A juco, who only has two years of eligibility might be turned off because he knows he won't beat Monte out if he stays for his senior season then only has one year to potentially start.

We're pretty much out of it for Tyler Cook.

I'd be ecstatic with Simpson, A Cook, Malou and Horne.

Think we end up with Jackson, A Cook and Malou.

You may be onto something here... Seems like the plausible scenario.
