I agree, I was just throwing it out there since the timing was the way it was.
 
@AlexHalsted: Iowa Western C.C. PG Donovan Jackson was on an unofficial visit to Iowa State from Saturday until this afternoon he tells me.

@AlexHalsted: Jackson said Iowa State offered on July 10 in St. Louis during a camp.

@AlexHalsted: Lastly on Donovan Jackson. He will commit somewhere by the end of September. Doesn't necessarily need to have an official to ISU he said.

So this would mean he and Xavier were on campus at the same time, right?

Whoa there, I don't have Xavier's or Donovan's itinerary. For all I know Xavier left right before Donovan got there or that they visited campus separately. I'm no expert on recruit visits, especially when it comes to how those on official visits and unofficial visits interact, if at all. Just looking for extra info.

@AlexHalsted: Full story on Xavier Simpson is coming, but it sounds like things went well and Iowa State set the bar high.
 
He has nothing to compare it to at this point. I will feel a lot better if he takes another visit and then we will have a better idea.

We don't want him to have buyer's remorse. Let him take some visits and let the chips fall where they may. Beats a decommit because he chose too fast.
