Recruit Lists v2.0

Haven't reviewed the last 20 pages but has there been any mention of Brady Ernst, 6"8" forward from Clinton, making an unofficial visit last week. Holds several mid-major offers including UNI but has yet to commit. Tore his ACL back in February.

I don't know anything about Ernst but I think/assume we can do better than someone who only has "several mid-major" offers. I may be completely wrong though because Seth Tuttle turned out alright.

@AlexHalsted: Prohm said the recruiting focus right now is on point guards because Monte will be a senior in 2016 and on getting some bigs.

Don't ask me why I even think this, but why do I get the feeling that Obekpa isn't a guy Prohm will be interested in?
I know one is not supposed to ask you why you think this, but your comments make no sense. I know nothing about this player. What about him makes you think prohm wouldn't be interested? Does he not play in the right system? Does he have off the court issues?I don't automatically assume Iowa state will go after guys but I don't have the same odd reaction as you.

First I've heard of an unofficial visit but I feel like he's more of a mid major guy. I get that we have 2 possibly 3 open 2015 schollies but I think that we can do better with them honestly. Where did you hear of the unofficial?

And why wouldn't he want us to ask him why? If he's got an opinion why be scared to share it?

@AlexHalsted: I got a lot of interesting recruiting thoughts from Prohm. He says they'll ideally get a solid 5-7 guys in the 2016 class because...

@AlexHalsted: ... Prohm: "I don’t want to sign six or seven kids every year. You want to sign three or four kids."

@AlexHalsted: Prohm (cont.): "The goal for me is to try to keep an all-league guy in each class. If you do that you’re going to be very, very good."

Nice dunks but can he play?

Yes. I've watched him play a couple times at the end of the year and the guy single handily won them the regular season conference title. He's a nightmare to guard 1v1 in the post, he scores at will down there. Question is if he can do it in a big conference but I believe he can.

It's almost July...wouldn't he have put the wheels in motion on transferring by now if those were his plans? Honestly just asking for anyone that has more insight on his situation. Would be a monster addition though.

Brown is impressive and would be a huge get but is he actually transferring because I can't find anything indicating he is

Generally the wheels are in motion long before anything is public when it comes to transfers

It seems like Kane/BDJ made their intentions known far earlier in the year. I'm pretty sure BDJ was April and Kane was early June? Keeping my fingers crossed especially with the Neil Berry connection. My money would be on him finishing his carerer at High Point

Works for me. Thanks for the info.
