So just for information purposes here is latest on Amir Coffey @RyanJamesMN: Richard Coffey on son Amir Coffey's visits: "Minnesota the first weekend in September. Texas the third weekend in September." He is a big Minnesota lean now! Also showing some big interest into Texas, don't really know why.
If I had to choose between Texas and Minnesota that would be pretty easy.
Trying to get Alex Halsted to report on this, so we all can see if Amir's interest in ISU still is real or a fluke. He hopefully will do a official at Iowa state but I have a feeling he is going to Minnesota. Even though he seems to want to get out.
It has to be a good feeling to know that he is passing Minny's sniff test, though.
Maybe its the weather....but getting antsy for one of these (at least 4-star) recruits. Auburn and Alabama get a '5' star this week. Hopefully its just a matter of time. Somehow,.... it would be nice to read Rothstein's tweet saying HUGE GET for ISU. Howland, Pearl, Avery Johnson pulled it off early...but can we?
Yes Prohm can and I trust will. Carter was a coup this late in the game.
Let's not forget Howland, Pearl, Avery Johnson were name coaches who have been on the job recruiting months before the Prohm took the job and was able to hit the road. Patience.
Yes patience, there is a mutual feeling that we will land Xavier Simpson, Solomon Young, Horne, or crystal ball name before September months end! I would have you look into Tyson Carter too follow him on Twitter he might surprise us.
Also keep your ears out on what MSU recruit Cassius Winston will be deciding on by end of sept too! If Xavier isn't committed by then that might be a hidden deciding factor. Plus we aren't hearing much due to the guys are out of the country, once they get back we will have fanfest and then they will reach back out. That's why we call recruiting a process.
Pretty sure Winston just cut his list to 4 and it was Michigan, Michigan State, Pitt and Stanford. So he would be out IMO.
I'm assuming what he meant is Xavier is interested in Michigan State and is waiting to see what Winston decides.
Hope both go to msu gym to Skype that they're going to take their talents to iowa state
Ya that is what I meant bc Xavier is still interested in MSU. But hopefully Winston chooses MSU with Miles, Xavier chooses Iowa St

I wish Halsted or somebody could get an update on Kostas Antetokounmpo. I haven't heard anything about him and ISU very recently but at the same time I haven't heard anything about his recruitment in general very recently so I don't know how to gauge the situation.
Yes, it's been really quiet on that front. He also doesn't seem to have a lot of other offers, so it makes me wonder what's really going on there.
