Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

First, so many pages to read so I skipped a bunch. If covered already please direct me according.

What if the B10 add Oregon and Washington. That's 16 (damn I am good at math!), then maybe Stanford and Cal. Ok, now 18. Now if the ACC crumbles they will push for UNC and UVA. Twenty.

What does the SEC do?

Will the BixXII stop at 16? Will they go after Beavers and Cougars? Should they? Culturally those schools would be a good fit. Would they want to stop at 18 teams? We would want to have the same number of teams as SEC and Big10, right?
I would think the Big 12 would go after the ACC cast offs like Pitt, NC State, Va Tech, Louisville

I don't get why some are down on adding UC and UH. They've both won basketball national championships. They've both had top 5 football teams. And they're both in top 25 media markets. What's not to like for the B12? Spotty attendance I presume is the main sticking point? You'd think that will improve once they become B12 regulars.

UCF, that one I get as a legit question mark. Outside of UF and FSU football, Florida isn't exactly known as a hotbed of sports fans. I'd bet that even today, half the kids enrolled at UCF for fall semester don't even know they're now in the B12 conference. And prolly don't care, either.
UCF has had a nice run, but that one is all based on upside potential.

The big 10 is currently at 16 when you count USC and UCLA. Oregon and Washington would make 18 Stanford and Cal would be 20.

Canzano on the DP show right now and he is saying how there is enthusiasm behind the scenes for the PAC as it sounds like Oregon might stay and then the Arizona schools will likely stay if that happens. Guy never gives up.
Never say never. It could be that rumored single B1G vote OR B1G has other Pac12 priorities OR media and OU aren't in alignment OR B12 and ASU (tied to hip with AZ) aren't in alignment. So many things to tear this optimism down a notch. BUT, one thing for sure, P12 < B12 media package.

So what did he say about Washington?

I can see a scenario where Oregon doesn't get a Big10 invite, but that means it is Washington & Stanford to Big10.

Still a problem to have a Pac7.

“What I’m hearing from the PAC CEO Group” this ******* guy.

Utah fans need to find a big slice of humble pie as many are convinced they are going to be the best football program in the Big 12 the moment they join the league. They are a good program, but look at how well Texas and Oklahoma have done in this league in the last 4 years.

We should make sure that Utah fans visiting Morgantown are told about the tradition in the tailgating lots at WVU of chugging the glass of water when given to them. It is clear liquid, so it must be water! ;)

The ACC’s seat seems to be getting quite warm with how everything is playing out. This seems like a Hail Mary attempt from their own goal line to keep FSU and Clemson at the table.

No chance that the ACC is going to sniff Big 10 money, so you can count Oregon/Washington out if the Big 10 wants them and I really doubt they're going to get Big 12 money to add the others.

I think some of it is natural adjustment between conferences.

Like, WVU came in with a lot of attitude as well after doing well in the big east (a several year streak of 9+ wins), thinking they were going to dominate in the big 12. They were quickly humbled, finishing in a 4 way tie for 5th in year 1 and in a 3 way tie for 7th in year 2

This Arizona State fan nailed it! He is right too.

yea the issue with this is you aren't taking a "road trip" from AZ to WV. come on get serious.

will be very few road trips any fans can take to away games. that's the worst part of all this. lose a ton of rivalries and tradition. don't know anyone in your life a fan of 3/4 of teams in your conference.

good job TV way to ruin college football.
