Rasheed Sulaimon dismissal

If we land Diallo then the last scholarship for 2015 will need to be filled by a transfer PF/C imo. As of now we only return Williams and Tsalmpouris for the 2016-17 season. For Guards/Wings we return Monte(maybe), Cooke, Thomas, Burton, and Custer. So I would say redshirting an experienced post player next season is more of a necessity imo. Especially considering we are high on Coffey's list for a 2016 SG.

Hilarious thread,
1) Duke or Kentucky whatever, if they weren't starting on those teams by their 3rd year, why would be want them.
2) No one knows why he was booted. Though one of the acticles did say he was in good school standing. So either drugs or motivation/attitude. Not sure you get kicked off mid season for motivation which leaves attitude. Didn't watch the ND game but he was 1/6 in 12 minutes. Some of those could have been bad shot selection shots. I'm guessing, K or he said something after the ND loss that couldn't be unsaid and it led to him being kicked off the team. If it was drugs, pretty odd it came the day after the ND game. If this is true, why would we want him even if he was a starter. No respect for K, probably means no respect for Hoiberg.

Not saying I want him but I understand if Fred is interested. Lucious averaged 6.5 ppg and shot 31% from the floor his junior year and Fred took him. Granted we're better now but if Fred sees talent he thinks he can utilize it I say go for it. I mean this kid is an elite shooter

And it's not like he never started for them either. He started for them his freshman year, played starter minutes the year after, and played almost 20 minutes a game again this year. Most players in the country wouldn't start for Duke, so using that as a reason why we shouldn't take them is stupid.

Not sure I'd throw around "elite shooter." His season totals are 49 & 43 @ 40%, and that's on a team that's known to shoot the 3 similar to Iowa St.

I meant 3 pt shooting, 37% as a freshman, 41% last year and 40% this year while making 1.3 3's per game is pretty good. Pretty much shoots as many threes as MT and makes 10% more

Yeah, those were his total 3's per season. Compared to Naz who made 64 last year at 40% and Kane made 43 also atat 40%.

I know it's just one year but Kane shooting = Sulaimon shooting. Good, but not crazy good. Cooke made 41 at 45%.

I'd say anyone that made 115 3's in 2 1/2 seasons while shooting 39% is pretty good. Kane ended up being a good 3 pt shooter last year, same with Monte, but that was only one season. This guy has a pretty large sample size that's he's an impressive 3 pt shooter. Elite might be a stretch but still impressive

Only want if he has to sit out next year. We can for sure afford to bank a scholly next year and we need players and talent that following.

For those saying we can avoid "these" players now, why go away from what got us here. Kids with a chip on their shoulder

A senior backcourt of Morris, Sulaimon and Burton would be scary. That's some explosiveness right there. Maybe a huge recruiting win in Bridges at the forward spot. Diallo decides to stay for two years at your other forward??? A guy can dream right? Wouldn't mind seeing that group run the fast break.

This. On another note, IMO, the kid has played in big time games (UNC home and away, Louisville, Syracuse etc.) The value of that experience from being in those games added to a young team who hopefully will get/have big-time game experience is priceless. Again, this is assuming his head is on straight and he is indeed looking for a last chance opportunity.
