Headed to Ft Worth today. Leaving Wichita, doing a little geocaching along the way south in KS & OK, then onward to Texas. Going to locate the house where I lived when I was little, putz around a bit, then go over & say "Howdy!" to Goat on our way on south.

There is a pretty cool aviation museum there. #JustSaying hopefully you didn't stay near Kellog and 35 as I have been told that is a cluster **** right now.

We're actually just a touch south of there in Haysville. I figured no one would know where that was...except maybe you. :)

Nice. If you remember the long snapper from the Rhoads era by the name of Dakota Zimmerman that is where he is from and I think he either lives there or across the interstate in Derby.
 
How far north do Saltgrass resturants go? First time I'd been to one was in SA. Liked their brisket burger. Youngest was bouncing around and I usually make sure everyone has ordered something they will actually eat, so I didn't pay much attention until he finally made up his mind. Thought it was just brisket on a bun. It was 1/4 lb brisket on a 1/4 lb burger. I couldn't move after that meal.

There's a thing with DTV that certain "media markets" (don't laugh) aren't able to be supplied local channels. Ottumwa's one of them. We have an antenna, and we can...if we're lucky...get the local Fox and NBC channel, and IPTV. We used to get CBS and NBC out of NYC and WB out of DC. But once AT&T bought DTV, that went away.

ESPN tournament app tells me I finished in the upper 97.5% with my Villanova pick. Too bad I didn't realize I hadn't joined the husband's group until after the games already started.

Is that a requirement?

Going to Spring tomorrow to visit PapaLew's nephew, then picking up sis & BIL at the airport in Houston. From there we're going to College Station to visit other sis & father, who just turned 94 (the reason for the trip). Monday we're headed for the Hill Country. From there, either San Antone or straight over to Carlsbad, NM. We're not sure just where we're going after that. We'll end up back in Iowa sometime later this month. As long as his sister is willing to stay at our place & feed the cats, probably!

Hot DAMN, I love being retired!
