Paused my editing to do some job searching for a couple minutes.
Saw that Cal-Berkeley was looking for lecturers, almost certainly on an extreme part-time basis, but they act like it could be full-time with the salary listed. Nicely done.

Long list of specialties they're looking for. Not a single one is me. I guess someone there met me.

I just heard a Snow song (that wasn't Informer) on the radio this afternoon.

That must have been his other song. Think he had a whole two songs, Informer and the second one that got a little traction as a curiousity follow up. I had his first CD, it was awful.

Try this. It is supposed to have a third less sugar as Kellogg's:

shopping

As a kid I used to dump a whole bunch of sugar on my breakfast cereal. Now I can't even stand many of the cereals that have a bunch of sugar in them even without augmenting. I don't know how I ate like that.

Or dump some of these

Dat COL, tho...

Husband had the stomach flu starting around Sunday afternoon into yesterday. Never puked, but he said he felt like he might at one point yesterday morning. He stopped feeling urpy yesterday afternoon, but then the fever came. He had it when I went to bed last night, but some ibuprofen helped that. He wasn't feverish when I woke up this morning.

Here's hoping it stays away from me.

It's even worse, since it's likely a one-course contract. A person can't move out there and survive on that. Maybe one or the other, but not both.
A young single person with some financial support, maybe, but they'll mostly be picking up candidates from CA schools.

I know Facebook is in the news a lot lately.....but I must repeat: the echo-chamber of Facebook is making people mentally ill.

Got my wife a new car.

Her new car color: Jade Green
My car's color: Wilderness Green Metallic

Both cars are essentially the same color when you see them side by side.

First comment from her sister: "It's so cute that you both got matching cars!"

Was never my intention, but I got such an amazing deal on her car that I could not pass on it just because of the color.

I'll be expecting a Christmas card with your whole family wearing matching reindeer footie pajamas in front of your matching cars.

Adorable.

My daughter made a papier-mache soccer ball for her Valentines card box this year. It has since been converted to a pinata for her next soccer practice.

We're loading it with candy and suspending it from the crossbar. The girls are gonna have to break it open with a shot from midfield. It's gonna be chaos.

There was a fatal head-on collision this morning on Hwy 69 just north of the Gilbert corner. It was right about the time kids were coming to school for 6:30am soccer, so was a bit worried all day long not knowing names involved. It was a 25yr old driver who crossed the centerline and was thrown from his vehicle. Supposedly a classmate of my oldest's was driving into school right when it happened and swerved/missed the body She stopped and got out and went up to him to see if he was okay not knowing that he had died. Sounds like she was a bit traumatized, that would not be fun to come upon as a 15yr old new driver. :(

Man, that is awful all the way around. Feel so sad for the deceased and the girl.

Love me some sun maid raisins. When I was really little I was hungry and wanted a snack so my grandparents gave me Cheerios and raisins and a glass of milk. It’s still my favorite night time snack.

Also, there’s this former disgruntled student of Wooster who will occasionally comment on Wooster posts that people shouldn’t go there because they’re racist, punish students for speaking out against them and their racism, and lying to cover it up. He then links to his manifesto (a 11,000 word screed). The evidence that he uses to show he’s right (pictures of email correspondence with the administration) doesn’t prove his point, and in fact shows the opposite. I really want to call him out because he’s so full of ****, and it’s taking a lot of will power not to
