I've kind of become attached to this new avatar. I may leave it up even after CG makes her triumphant return from exile.

CG = Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini
CW = The Shah of Iran

Khomeini made his return from Paris. CG was recently in Paris. Coincidence? I think not.

Hope she ends up better than the Ayatollah. I still remember watching his body being accidentally dropped as it was carried in his funeral procession. I did not shed a tear.

I've watched it all the way through. I think it is a decent but not great series, especially given some stuff that occurs in later seasons with the way that Walt acts. I guess it was good enough to hold my interest.

I might try Rainier beer some time just to see what Walt drinks. I have a friend who likes to read the books--he thinks they are far superior to the show.

I really like Lou Diamond and Katee in their roles, though I suppose Katee's character is essentially Starbuck (if you watched her in Battlestar Galactica) plopped down out west as a Deputy.
Don't waste your money. :)

Apparently as I get older my cat allergies are getting way worse. Got invited over to friends for an impromptu adult gathering Friday night, some drinks, some pool, some appetizers and chitchat. Was there less than 10 minutes and my eyes erupted and became red inflamed itch centers. "Oh, I forgot, you guys got a cat last year." They did find some kids liquid Benadryl which we we tried to decipher an adult dose from, it helped but think I took too much which kinda kiboshed any drinking for the evening. I don't see dating any cat ladies in my future. :rolleyes:

I watched it some before it left whatever network it was on and went to Netflix. Kinda stopped watching because the sheriff was such a total ****, and to me anyway, a completely unsympathetic character. Kinda wanted Lou Diamond Phillips or Katee Sackhoff to just punch him in the face.
He is certainly straightforward and has a strong personality, but I do see some sympathy in him. He cried when he told the widow about her dead husband in the first episode. And he comforted the Mennonite woman, when she came to meet her daughter at the cottonwood tree, so there's that.

He becomes somewhat sympathetic down the road--not entirely in my opinion, but he makes some dumb choices.

That's what Papa Lew tells her quite regularly, as in "that **** is off the hook".

EDIT: Uhmm, given the filter, I want to make clear that there were no f's in the above sentence. And that isn't a Papa Lew quote, just a general quote to illustrate the meaning of "off the hook".
Trust me - I have never, ever, heard PapaLew say "off the hook". Nor will I ever. It's just not his style! :)

Were there any "S's"?
