55 did you switch jobs? It sounded that way in a post you put up a few days ago. Maybe back during all the resume talk.

I did. I started working for a different financial services company in Omaha. They have an internal advertising studio and I'm in that department helping to deploy emails and banner ads to customers. I'm pretty happy. It's finally a marketing job and I get to do some web design. It was also about a 40% raise over my last job.

There are some weird ducks and scammers on Craigslist. Guy offers me $150 for pedal car I am asking $250 for. I say no, then he offers $200 but wants me to deliver it. Not the usual but I say I can meet him at the Home Depot near where he says he lives but that I don't want 100 dollar bills because there are lots of counterfeits floating around per last weeks news stories. I also said if I drive it over I am not going to entertain any renegotiation on the price. He goes all ballistic in his email response and doesn't want to do deal at all. Dude was fishy as hell.

His mini rant left the RTT'er in me wanted to send him this. :)

Mrs. JCyclonee likes to sell stuff on Craigslist and the community Facebook page. Usually, I'm the one to go to the neutral site to make the transaction. One time, this is what my message was, "I need you to meet a guy with a thick Russian accent in the parking lot behind Arby's."

Headed into the station just in case they needed some help...not so much, but hung around. Finally decided to leave, and not a block away from the station, had to slam on the brakes for a recycling bin crossing my path.

Little bit of light flickering here, but nothing major.
Wait, what?

@BoxsterCy - I have multiple cable locks, 3 of which are identical so I can daisy chain them and lock up the whole family of bikes together. I have never had a problem. I think a lot of it has to do with not having the easiest target. Put your bike next to the bike that is totally unlocked. It is an easy decision for the thief of opportunity.
I was wondering if you could chain cable locks together. We're taking our bikes on our upcoming Colorado trip and will be overnighting in Nebraska each way. I refused to spend $4-5 hundred on a Thule or Yakima so I was looking for a way to secure them to the back of the vehicle.

By the way, @Cyclones_R_GR8 and @55dB, if you want to hang out around a hotel pool with 12 screaming kids on August 11, I'll be in Omaha for a few hours that night.

tie strap them. You can get a bag for around 20 bucks and will be enough for a couple trips.

Just remember a knife, side cutters, or pliers to cut the tie straps.

Did you call your insurance agent to make sure she hadn't bumped your life insurance policy up before going on that one?

What about a 20' chain and a padlock?
