Feels good to be home. Slowly figuring out my limits right now but I hope to be back to work at least half days on Thursday so I don't miss my interview. Worst part is realizing everything I can't do. No lifting more than 10 pounds for two weeks and limited physical activity for 6-8 weeks so no bicycle or mowing and my project of moving all of the river rock is going to be delayed.

Jcyclonee, Happy Birthday!

Tornado question, had one that came by my parents house and drove a 2x4 through the back window of the family car and into the dash, while parked in the garage. Same storm drove a different pane of glass through the storm window and it stuck on the inner pane, glad it didn't go any further because my bed was right in front of it.

Wx, glad your home good luck on your upcoming interview.

Much quicker day at work. Drove home in the rain, still raining now, oh well sooner or later it will stop.

Glad to hear your home. The hospital, no matter how nice the staff, just is not fun.

Happy Birthday to @jcyclonee ! Mine is in 6 days. I also graduate that day. Well, at least I hope I will. My engineering design report is due in the morning. I'm probably 65% done with the report right now (most of the project work came from the design process). I'll be up all night working to finish it and hopefully have enough time left for some editing before I ship it off. I'm not really concerned with it being perfect, it just needs to be just good enough for my professors to sign off on my graduation.

Last major school project cramming sesh (hopefully)!

Missed alot in here. What happened?

Speaking of tornadoes, there were some gnarly ones just west of where I live yesterday. Killed five people, injured almost 50 others, and did a ton of damage. It'll be sobering to drive across the damage path on I-20 the next time I head to Dallas.

Well, it is officially May and for those of you with kids know that May is insane. One month of school left and the kindergartener is doing an Alphabet Countdown. Each day they are doing something fun with each letter. We are only on D and already we have made an animal habitat, sent in a baby picture, and wore pj's to school. So have to remember something for her at least 3x a week. There are end of the school year parties and concerts and celebrations of learning. I am baking for 3 graduation receptions, 2 baby showers, and the preschool party. Add in 2 birthdays and the start of HS softball along with 2 more weeks of club ball. Happy May, see you in June. :p

Yesssss...I remember those days. Constant busy-ness. Sometimes I miss it...then the kids & grandkids come and stay for a few days, and then go home, and we realize how exhausted we are after the visits. :D

You all are going to need to be more interesting to entertain me this week.

Not even 9:00 and wxman is already bored with surfin' aviation sites. ;)

I am going to be chairing a meeting of the Bored as Hell on this Poopie Cold Rainy Minnesota Day Club later. I'll send you the call in number.

So my mother's surgery went well. My sisters have been giving us updates from the hospital which mainly consist of "Mom's doing well, breakfast/lunch/dinner was terrible"
I think she gets to go home today. My older sister will be with her for another 10 days, then my older brother will be there the next 2 weeks then I'll go out there for two weeks.
After that we'll see.

Speaking of Boxsters tornado question. Here is one from yesterday.

Check out @WeatherNation's Tweet:

"Aviation grade" straw.

Aviation grade aluminum is one of my advertising pet peeves. Although I was amused by the "let's drop this heavy thingy onto a the bed of an aluminum truck and see what happens" commercial.:p
