Oh crap, WDSM - you're right! I was thinking of a relay totaling 800 meters. It's been about 20 years since my last track meet as a parent/spectator...so I plead forgetfulness. If it was a 4x800, wouldn't she have run a 200?

You might want to consider getting the vaccine after the appropriate time has passed. The shingles rash has been receding. The discomfort is still there and I still get a some shooting pains at times but it isn't the awful constant burning like those first few days. I'm sure the antiviral medication and steroids helped with that. Hopefully my skin will be cleared up within the next week.
The house we grew up in is up for sale. Was able to see the listing and the photos of the inside. Two of my sisters that still live out there went to the open house so they could see it for real. The St. Francis statue is still in the back yard. Been there for over 50 years. My sister wanted to steal it. My other sister said let's hold off on the larceny and see if they'll sell it or give it to us.
I guess our next door neighbor that is still there is going to go over and ask about it.
My doctor says he wouldn't even prescribe the shot unless you were 65. Also from what I have gathered, once you have shingles your chance of getting them again is about 1% which is the same as if you got the shot. Now I've heard rumor there is a new shot coming out. Maybe it's 100% effective. You might want to consider getting the vaccine after the appropriate time has passed.
Mine recommended at 60, which is where most of the literature I've seen has recommended. I hadn't heard about the new option...but PapaLew will tell you that I complain every time the commercial for the current one (Zostervax?) comes on, because both the virus and the vaccine are apparently British. I find that annoying and pretentious on American television. My doctor says he wouldn't even prescribe the shot unless you were 65. Anyone going to the volleyball qualifier at the convention center up here this week?
This one? Damn Brits. Didn't we fight a war so they had to leave us alone?Mine recommended at 60, which is where most of the literature I've seen has recommended. Am I the only person on RTT that enjoys watching the critters in our "yard"?

Am I the only one here that likes British accents?
That's part of the fun of it, making up what they're actually saying.I needed subtitles when Rose Tyler was the companion on Dr. Who.
Go to "The Midlands" in the UK. I was on a bus going to Wolverhampton and some guy was arguing with his flat mate or something on his cell phone very loudly the whole 30 minute ride. Outside of the swear words I barely understood a thing he said.I needed subtitles when Rose Tyler was the companion on Dr. Who.
