Fell asleep on the floor of LittleWx's room again. Who knew it was so comfortable.

honest to God, part of the reason we went with our builder was because the carpet in the house we walked through felt so soft and comfy. He said they put an extra layer of padding underneath. It's entirely possible that while doing pre-moving moving (just DH and I) he may have come back with the car to find me napping on the floor in one of the bedrooms. Told him I was testing out for future use.

The sad part is, the one I was most offended by was one of the tamer ones I saw. There's a subreddit for balls. Just like, all dudes nutsack pics. Like, who would want to see that? Granted, I'm a straight dude, but there is nothing at all attractive about balls. They're creepy and gross looking and just hang there all wrinkly and ****. Why would anyone want a subreddit of thousands of pics of amateur dude's nuts? ******* weird, man.

there's one just for mens' forearms. Now that is some fine viewing. Not that I've looked. Dh was cooking last night and his forearms looked so nice. I was like, you can get all fat and flabby as long as you keep those forearms. He's like awesome, grab me a beer then.

So you christened the house before you even officially owned the house?

You mean "more naps" don't you?

You're so disappointing.

you mean sleeping, right? cause ain't nothing else going on in a house with nothing on the windows in full daylight. Plus they were still finishing stuff on the house so people were popping in randomly.

lolol
well the room we were in was meant to be a future kid's room so I kinda figured it'd be like what wxman mentioned. Falling asleep trying to get a toddler to sleep or something like that.

Last day of school today. Last day of elementary school for us. Saw the youngest daughter get on the bus, I got in the car, let out a couple of tears and was fine. Then Sweet Child of Mine came on the radio,

"She's got a smile it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky"

Has anybody ever out-and-out cried to a Guns N' Roses song before?

(Just catching up a bit today) Maybe not our and out cried, but this song came on as I was leaving the airport after dropping the oldest off for her big D.C. trip. A favorite of both of ours.

I don't know what's stranger, that there's a subreddit just for men's forearms or that you're turned on by forearms.

So...you guys are letting go of your little girls. They're becoming independent...they don't need daddy anymore.

At what point does a son stop needing mommy?

Just got off the phone with my son. He is changing jobs. He "hasn't seen his social security card in years". He needs a birth certificate to get a replacement card.
him: Do you by any chance have a copy of my social security card in your files somewhere?
me: I don't think soooo?
him: Okay, what about my birth certificate?
me: you mean the one I had to get from the county recorder in Washington and sent to you so that you could get your security clearance 15 years ago? The one that replaced the original that I gave you when you got married and set up housekeeping with someone instead of various crash-pads? THAT birth certificate? You need to get a lock box.
him: Ma, I have a lock box.
me: well, then, you need to put your important papers IN the lock box!!!

I may still have a copy of his certificate at home (maybe not certified, maybe just a photo-copy of the certified one I sent him 15+ years ago. You see, I KNOW my son. He has a genius level IQ, but has the attention span of a gnat unless the topic interests him.
Maybe I should also mention that this son turns 38 next month.
Oy!

BTW...I'm not going to look super hard for the copy. Instead, I gave him the basic info - what county he was born in, and to contact the county recorder's office there to request a duplicate of his BC. I did that once...he can do it this time. :)

somedays I swear your are my mom.

Neighborhood news. Kevin Jackson's house is for sale, guess he won't be sticking around for that administrative position. Just a few blocks away, Harrison Barnes bought a house. It is for his mom, supposedly he has been looking for a house for her for awhile. The buyer's info was supposed to be kept under wraps, but the next door neighbor had a hunch which was confirmed when they saw Harrison next door for the house inspection.

We are also getting new next door neighbors, who unfortunately most likely are not related to anyone in the NBA. Since we moved here almost 10yrs ago almost every house on the block has turned over a time or two. Lately every single new neighbor has been a considerable downgrade from the one who moved out. :(

I just realized something.

@Cybirdy confirmed as Pant's "sources". :D

hope the new neighbors reverse the trend!

Will have to meet them, but know one or both are professors at Iowa State. Saw at least one kid while they must have been there going through the house with the current neighbors. They have already closed on the house and are renting it back. Neighbors built a new house which is on the Parade of Homes this weekend, so they will move in after that.

This turned out to be the perfect weekend for the Duluth tournament. Let's just hope our games tomorrow are by the lake and not up the hill.

Since you are Bikeman here: I am debating whether to add a road bike to my ride options. The Specialized hybrid is great for what I have been riding, 20-25 fitness rides on city trails, but thinking maybe adding a drop bar road bike for longer rides since I have the time (no one to ride with, but what the ****). Eriks got some 2015's Raleighs from discontinued models. They have a nice Revenio with carbon forks and nice 105 components all around for less then $1000. Good price for those components, better than most spendier top brand name bikes. Downside is current ride is a good fit for me and I can ride without the discomfort I had sometimes with my older bikes. Just maybe isn't a good bike if I want to ride 50 or so.

Haven't ridden a drop bar in like 20 years and gave my old Schwinn LeTour away last year.
