Do you go by Will, or Bill, or something like that? I wish there was a easy short version for mine, but the best I got is Yorgos. Not much of an improvement. Some people do call me George occasionally.
I already got a silent T on my last name. That confuses the hell out of people, so I would like to avoid any more silent letters.

it depends. I went by William up until probably 8th grade, so my family and some of my older friends and teachers call me that. And for my family and older teachers I prefer to still be called William. Now I'll introduce myself as Will so that's what most people call me now. Not a fan of Willy or Billy. Or really Bill for that matter. I just don't feel like a Bill and I think it makes me sound like I'm from the WWII era. If I ever move back to Germany I might let them call me Willy or I might go by Liam (since Will means want in German)
