daughter told me that all 4 of her classes for tomorrow were cancelled for early spring break. Only one was left going into this week.

Okay, this kinda ticks me off, I pay how much for these and they can cancel classes to have longer breaks?
I'm sure that she's really upset about missing out on that extra educational experience, too.

Kiddo has decided it's tie to start writing the Chinese she's learning.
That's our biggest surprise/not surprise today. Her Russian teacher who stressed taking notes would be so proud. (If said teacher would stop cancelling class, she'd fine out what's going on with that notes thing.)
Chinese and Russian? She's going to make a great spy.

I read too many spy books.

That's a pretty good streak. Have you had to clean a floating turd out of the tub?
Yeah that was early on.

Deciding to add some detail as it was pretty funny. MrsWx was giving LittleWx a bath. He was 1ish from what I remember. I was downstairs switching laundry and all of a sudden I just hear her start yelling "No. No. Nooooooooo!"

Could you please explain this to my wife? She won't listen to me, or our kids, or her school's IT specialist.
I got yelled at on the phone yesterday because someone forgot their password to their Canvas account and was blaming me because I don't know it and don't know how to recover it. I only work for the e-commerce site, not Canvas.

My *ahem* favorite memory is of farmers asking to talk to a "real" person, because to some of the older ones, a woman couldn't possibly know what she's talking about...

In their defense, you are a primate. Although closely related, you aren't a real human.

edit: I probably should have used monkey instead of primate but I've grown softer with age. Or my brain just functions slower.

I got a call yesterday when the network was down Campus wide. This farmer wanted to buy pubs. I directed him to the store since the network was down and I couldn't access anything online. He then yelled at me and asked to speak to someone who could take his credit card over the phone to buy these pubs...

You probably should have taken his credit card.

Then why do I even have a phone?
You'll enjoy this Canvas fiasco. When you hit the link for forgot password, it sends the person an email to contact the site administrator, which would be us since we are the e-commerce site. Except NOBODY HERE HAS SYS ADMIN CREDENTIALS TO DO ANYTHING. It's an endless deathloop.

Pffft you work with computers you should be able to solve the problem. That is their theory I would guess.

that's incredible!

some of the elementary schools are starting dual language Spanish but not ours yet. Not sure what happens if we hit requirements next year. Would like LM1 to do that. He enjoys watching Paw Patrol in different languages lol.

I subscribed to a site this year that does cartoons and shows in other languages. I thought it would be fun, and it was the first time. As quickly as she got over that one, I'm guessing I jumped the gun by a year, or it just wasn't cool.

We've tinkered with foreign language books from the library. She read a German one and did a book report last year for the homeschool book club. This year, the idea just didn't take off, except for her goal of reading a Harry Potter book in whatever language she decides when we're near that section. They're just too long, though, for where we're at right now.

Side note: She hasn't read any of those in English.
