Random Thoughts 17: Here we go again.

Well, I don't know many of the hobos but will run into a few. First you have to make sure she hasn't been murdered or is in jail for murder. They like their crime there. Also, if she was related to anyone, she is most likely related to nearly all, and several times over. Only place I know where if you are lucky enough to see your great grandchildren marry, you struggle when they ask you bride or groom's side at the ceremony and end up saying both. It's a town that unless you are from there, you have no desire to live in it or continue to live in it once you do. They celebrate hobos, that should be enough said.

When you say bestest, does that mean she was a diehard or that she wasn't bad to deal with? Or you found her hot?

Good friend back in the day. More of a drinking and talking buddy but she was really quite a great gal and, yeah, quite attractive.

I was nervous when I heard it. It sounds like the person was stopped in the entryway, de-escalated by the police liaison officer, never made it into the building proper, and nobody was hurt.

Scary though. There were plenty of rumors about the situation going around very quickly.

Yeah, it sounds like there was no weapon involved and it was a person the school was familiar with.

Still, my daughter was scared as it was going on. That's okay, sometimes a little fear keeps you from doing something stupid. Like the video I saw on Twitter yesterday. Somebody thought it would be good idea to stay on their porch and record rather than seeking shelter as an F3 tornado passed within a few meters of their house. Darwin rules...

The son's school had a middle school kid get arrested a week or two ago for talking about having a gun. He had made a bomb threat about a month before that. The school sent out a notice of a lockdown (threat and arrest happened on the bus) and a few minutes later the ambulance went flying to the school. Turned out a kindergartner had the tips of their fingers nearly cut off in a door at the exact same time the arrest was happening, so of course everyone thought it was a shoot out.

The kid hasn't been expelled, because who the hell knows????

Sounds like it was "parents and family members of a student" showed up and created a disturbance around the main office. The SRO responded and along with staff they separated the combatants. "This was a disturbance with multiple fights among the parties."

All from an informational text from the school.
