Raising Canes Sucks

First, for a good spicy chicken sandwich, with spices in the breading, not just sauce -
Culvers and Wendys. Culvers is probably the better piece of chicken and the quality will be more consistent, but Wendys is pretty spicy (for a mass market item) and is better when it's good. But some Wendys are, well, not great.

As far as Popeyes... there's one 2 blocks from my house. Went there first time a couple weeks ago. Never again. The food was okay, the chicken had some flavor, fries were good. But the place was disgusting. Mold on the pop dispenser nozzles. Floor hadn't been swept since who knows when, food and wrappers all over the place. I almost didn't eat any of it, but took the risk.

And 2 employees were actively smoking pot in the parking lot. We parked by the car, and watched an employee walk out there, get in the car (smoke rolls out) with his buddy, hang out a while, the the buddy gets out (smoke rolls out) and comes back in to work his shift. Just ludicrous. My daughter and gf daughter were with me and just dying laughing. They were frying, but also baked

I'm not going to bother to read all the posts. I'll just speak on behalf of many of us who went to Memphis. Gus's is great!

I mean Canes is fine but it is what it is. Fast food Chicken fingers with a good dipping sauce. I'd definitely get it but I certainly don't understand why people sit in a crazy long fast food line for it (or any fast food for that matter).

RC isn't bad. It's just basic. It's perfect for the suburban family with kids. It's easy and unchallenging. They know their target audience and they're not trying be anything else. Personally, I find the chicken to be really under seasoned, but my nine year old thinks it's the best place on earth.

… but at least 75% of the reason that he loves it is because, when you go through drive-through, they say “ho ho ho, chicken to go.”

When you have a chicken restaurant and your sauce is more famous than the chicken, you actually have a sauce restaurant. Cane’s chicken is an unflavorable piece of trash and only dousing it in mostly mayo makes it tolerable.

Same idea with these “spicy” chicken sandwiches from places like Popeyes and McDonald’s. You don’t have a spicy chicken sandwich, you have a ****** spicy sauce on top of chicken.

Been to Raisin Cane's one time. Was not impressed. Mcdonald's chicken nuggets are better than Raisin Cane's. Give me Chic-Fil-A evey day.

I know a scary number of adults whose palates never advanced beyond what they liked when they were nine years old though.

We stopped at a Canes in Missouri for lunch on the way back from the Liberty Bowl. My first experience. It was ok. However, I started to get an upset stomach not long after and then felt like I got mild food poisoning. I'll give it one star since the food was ok and my body held off on the explosive ***** until I got home, but I'll never be eating there again.

I've only tried the one in Iowa City. It was fine. Not sure what the fuss is about, the Texas Toast was the best part of the meal. Incredibly long wait for a restaurant that only serves one entree. But it was right after they opened I guess.

Im sorry but if you really think McDs chicken esp, the nuggets are better than RC you, have some strange taste.

And I am not sure you even have taste buds. Woof, and Pizza ranch chicken is pretty bad.
