Racist Hawk fans at it again

It's pretty easy to see that there are probably zero innocent people in the video. Maybe except the dude just trying to give the filmer his information per protocol.

You can admit that there are no saints here without making sweeping societal judgments. Both people can be a jackass.

So if I get drunk and hit your car twice (the action you say is saintly), call you a racial slur, then say you aren’t an American, and your response is to 100% accurately identify what kind of person I am…we’re both equally bad?

My friend you have some crippling insecurity in your soul.

Go to jail? really?

Yeah it sucks that the wrong person was doxxed but it should be fairly simple to prove you aren't the person in the video.
1. Does the wrong person look like the person in the video?
2. Was the wrong person driving around IC after the game?

Those 2 things should make it fairly obvious that it wasn't her.

The problem is it never goes away. Jail may be strong. But they should easily be sued for slander.

Yeah, based on the video here it looks that way. That said, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the woman in the car was saying racist **** prior to the filmer getting their camera (thus provoking the "white privilege" comment).

Most these middle/older age hawk fans are uneducated folks that barely graduated high school, living off their parents inheritance, and have no clue what is going in the real world around them. Kinda like husker fans. I mean someone posted on FB that Mickey Joseph was the first black intrem/head coach of any sport in Nebraska history.

But the comment does not justify the response in any way, even if the term white privilege is being used unfairly. If one of my daughters calls their sister a name, and the response is sister tries to hit her with a golf club (really happened), guess who gets in WAY more trouble. These actions are not equivalent, and the fact that there are a lot of people out there that fail to understand this is really sad.

She somehow knew she was right.

I assume none of us are murderers here. If I accuse one of you of murder would you simply deny it or would you immediately stab a few people the second I called you a murderer? That’s effectively what racist lady did when accurately labeled racist.

I don't think he was saying it was equal, I think he was just saying that there was a lot of jackassery going on all around.

Maybe. We frankly don't know what happened before the young lady turned her camera on. She could have been totally justified in how she was responding. What I do know is there is no excuse for what the racist old bag said. So all the hand wringing over "Well everyone was at fault here" is just excusing racist remarks IMO.

I guess it ceases to be “Jackassery” for me and becomes a boring non controversial accurate description somewhere around “racial slur we aren’t allowed to type” and “you don’t belong in this country”.

I'm not disputing that at all. I said this almost literally in another post.

Why did the person filming say white entitlement. Curious as to what led to that.

Nobody seems to know other than driving drunk into her car twice which has an entitlement component as several have pointed out but not a racial component.

We only know she was quickly proven to be totally accurate in that description of white entitlement.

I’m not sure anyone said anything about equivalency in terms of the comments. You yourself say that both party’s in your hypothetical would be in some kind of trouble, just that one would be in more.

I wonder…had the woman not snapped back with the racist comments (and they were indeed racist and disgusting), would the person filming and calling “white privilege” be put on trial?

I guess I don’t understand all the concern about accurately identifying racists.

Whether it was a lucky guess or the racist lady was already saying the same racist things before the video, who cares because she is right.

Possibly, but not an assumption that holds any merit beyond “she said, she said”.

Except for the part where racist woman proved she’s super racist.

Why does the motivation matter when we know the woman was totally correct in her description?

Well there is a license plate number in the video. I'm pretty sure your address is registered with the vehicle. There is a pretty easy way for the authorities to clear up who that is. The important thing is it an issue for the authorities. Ruining someone's life by linking them to something like this on social media if you aren't absolutely sure - without a doubt - it is them is a **** move and those who do it should be held responsible.

Once that genie is out of the bottle it is impossible to put back in. She could be cleared and then 5 or 10 years from now have someone do a social media search when she is applying for a job and have it all come up without the eventual clearing coming up.
