Property Access for Tree Removal

Never ceases to amaze me, the amateur arborists' degree of intellect.

Or, lack thereof. LOL

What is cool is to watch videos of the guys who are good at it (granted they probably don't show their mistakes). When I moved up to the PNW I somehow ended up watching videos of some arborists up here chunking down 130ft+ tall fir trees here. Crazy to watch them be up there in just spurs and drop these things with almost pinpoint precision.

Nice. Tell me some of your favorites, other that Billy Ray, so I can look them up. Please?

Final chapter… 10 minutes to grind a stump? I haven’t been out to look to see how they accessed the backyard. Jason said they would put plywood down but the grass was on neighbor’s side so I didn’t care. They didn’t put any down.

Over 8 hours for that small of a tree and they didn’t have to move any of logs. No more squirrels! Nest box was on the tree. Still have the BB gun handy though.

The main thing is do you have the smoked meats?

Good to know!

I used to like to hunt squirrels w/ BB or 22. My wife doesn't like squirrel, so as I am older now, live and let live!

Unless they get a little over populated. Then I've got the 5.56 or .223 to remedy the situation. Just kidding, sort of.

Should have sent a few BBs towards the tree guy to see how alert he was.

On a related question, and I'm sure this is probably very individualized to each community, but when does a homeowner have a responsibility to trim/clear branches and such that are overwhelming public property, like a sidewalk? A homeowner is responsible for clearing their sidewalk of snow/ice; what about their trees? In our neighborhood, we have quite a few people with large evergreen trees falling way over onto the sidewalk. With 2month old twins, it is really annoying to have to try to wiggle the stroller around this when attempting to use the sidewalk.

I'm happy to come by with my hedge trimmers and clear the path.
I'll bring my Echo 70cc chainsaw. Would that work?

My neighbors to the south of me are gone. Should have went on their side of the wood fence and put the gun barrel through the fence. I wonder what an air soft rifle would do. Those are pretty much auto fire. I always forget we have two of them. Probably better to use on a squirrel to take them out with than a BB gun.

Don't hold back. Pull out the Bazooka! No worries.

Our stump grinder is pretty fast so 10 minutes sounds right if they didn't go that deep. We go about 8 inches unless there's a gas line that's right there, then we only go a couple inches.
