Property Access for Tree Removal

We have a neighbor in the 40s that does that the instant someone (other than the neighbor) is working in a neighbor's yard. Turns beet red, repeats it multiple times and varies between "don't step on my property" to "don't come near my property" and the cops will be called if anyone does. Also has property cameras recording everything, plus will be outside with the iPhone recording.

One of my favorite shows on ID TV is "Fear Thy Neighbor." I'll join you with a cooler too...never seen a live show.
"Jason" came to my front door along with my eccentric neighbor. The guy was super nice. My neighbor who was next to him, reminded me of Little Enos from Smokey and the Bandit. The guy is a social introvert!! Jason me they only had to make one trip with the mini skid steer, I would assume to grind the stump out. Was very cool about everything. My neighbor yet again asked him to make sure I moved my car. WTF!!
I am going to get even with him as he blew a gasket went the concrete crew splashed a very small amount of concrete on his siding last year. The concrete foreman cleaned it off right away, but my neighbor made sure to let me know about it. I asked Jason when I needed to move my car. He is told me this afternoon. I work from home so I sold him to swing on over when I needed to move it. Going to really slow play this one.
Currently watching this two man crew slowly remove a couple branches. I realize now why he said this afternoon, cause at the rate they are going, it going to take that long. With my luck one of the branches will fall on the utility lines and take our power and internet out.
I'm guessing he doesn't get invited to the neighborhood BBQ.
He does. We all still try to be neighborly. Last year they would attend, but now they always have an excuse why they can't make it. So the invites extended to them are considerably less.
We figure since our yards are next to each other, might as well do our part in trying to get along.
But I think more and more about privacy fences, privacy trees/bushes, putting up a couple security cameras (he stands outside the video range of the Ring doorbell when he yells at people) and (when we build a deck) somehow making it so he can't see who is out there.

Yeah, always start with nice and reasonable. Work things out like two intelligent and cooperative adults. Life is better, everyone is happier.
If the neighbor goes all "my property!" on you, then eff him and zero cooperation - please route all requests for communication thru my lawyer - here's his card.
….an hour in and not a lot of progress. I had a 60’ Siberian Elm removed a couple years ago in 3 hours. Then again it was two climbers and 10 guys on the ground.
You do not have to grant him access. I’ve been through this type of crap and whatever he’s telling you is made up you can make them drop the tree and carry it out piece by piece through his own property. You don’t have to let them on yours.
He's just making a bunch of strategic cuts so he can give a good push at the bottom and have it all come down at once in a nice, neat pile.

Had the same situation at my old CR house, but I was the one asking my neighbor for access to his driveway. 60 year old tree needed to come down, IIRC it was an ash, where the center of it was just 10 off his property line.
I offered to pay for the trimming of his large tree on his property as the setup could handle both trees. He agreed. Cost me an extra $300 I believe, and he was thankful for the tree work.
Its all on how you approach people, your neighbor needs help in that area.
Edit: All done the year before the derecho ... no way that tree would have survived that event, and it would have caused property damage to four houses.
