I marked disagree just for the bolded part. I don't think the toxicity comes from the cave because you see it in sports threads by people who don't go into the cave. If the cave wasn't here, you'd still have toxic posts
WIthout the cave, the toxicity would be much, much worse.
Yeah, that's a good point and on reflection I agree you'd still probably have the same level of toxicity with or without the cave. That was a reach on my part.

I think that was definitely the wrong time to say something like that. You keep your mouth shut or just leave and skip the ceremony. That said, Prohm deserves some criticism. This team had talent, they just needed a coach who could manage personalities and maximize effort. He couldn’t do it. This collapse is on Prohm no matter how people want to spin it. If he can’t take the criticism for that, then he needs to find a different job where the fans aren’t as invested.

So much of this is leadership driven. CMC is establishing a player-lead team and we need to get there but having the 4th youngest player in NCAA, another true freshman, 2 transfers who were merely role players and high upside sophs struggling with their roles isn't conducive to that leadership culture.
Next year's team will be completely different, and everyone coming back (whomever that is) will have another year of maturity and another of year of learning what consistent effort is.
This year was frustrating but I do see glimpses with the young nucleus if we can keep them together and they continue to grow TOGETHER.
He is totally accepting mediocrity when we have all these fans that refuse to accept mediocrity. How can that possibly be acceptable?
Accepting mediocrity, in the face of all of these people that refuse to accept mediocrity, is totally mediocre and not acceptable.
